DMRC Recruitment 2018 for Executive & Non-Executive (1896 Posts)

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation released notification on January 27, 2018 declaring a massive recruitment drive for Executive and Non-executive posts for year 2018. There are a total of 1896 Vacancy being offered for various profiles. Interested candidates can apply for the same on the official DMRC website delhimetrorail.com

DMRC Recruitment 2018 Eligibility Criteria

A candidate must fulfil the following parameters to be eligible for the executive and non-executive posts.

  • A candidate must be of age between 18 to 28 Years as on January 1. 2018, i.e. born not earlier than 02.01.1990 and not later than 01.01.2000, for all posts.
  • A candidate of PwD must possess and submit a Disability Certificate issued by Medical Board duly constituted by Central or State Government.
  • A candidate can apply for more than one post if he satisfies the mentioned qualifications parameters.
  • All the candidates will be put on probation for a period of 2 years and will need to pass various exam. If a candidate fails to fulfill his/her duties satisfactorily, he/she will be dismissed from the service
  • Upper age relaxation by 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates for reserved posts.
  • Upper age relaxations by 5 years for candidates belonging to Jammu & Kashmir who had ordinarily been domiciled in that state between 01.01.1980 and 31.12.1989.
  • Upper age relaxation by 10 years for PWD Unreserved candidates, 15 years for PWD SC/ST candidates and 13 years for PWD OBC candidates for posts where reservation for PWD is admissible.

DMRC Recruitment 2018 Selection Process

  • The selection process for the posts of executives under SECTION ‘A’ & ‘C’ (for post codes RE01 to RE07 and CE01 to CE04) will have 4 stages
  1. Computer-based test
  2. Group discussion
  3. Personal interview
  4. Medical examination
  • The selection process for the posts of non-executive profiles under SECTION ‘B’ & ‘D’ (for post codes RNE01 to RNE09 & CNE01 to CNE05) will have 2 stages
  1. Computer-based test
  2. Medical examination
  • Computer Based Test (CBT)
  • The CBT will consist of two papers - Paper-I and Paper-II.
  1. Paper-I will have 120 multiple-choice objective type questions, bilingual (Hindi/English), on General Awareness, General Intelligence & Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude (General English for Maintainer-Electrician, Electronic Mechanic, Fitter and Ref & AC Mechanic) and/ knowledge of the discipline/trade.
  2. Paper 1 will be of 90 minutes.
  3. Paper-II (Not for Maintainers post, viz., from RNE10 to RNE13) will be of 60 objective type questions on General English.
  4. The Paper-II will be of 45 minutes.
  5. Negative marking of 1/3rd of the mark for each incorrect answer.
  • Candidates who clear paper 1 and paper 2 with higher ranks on the merit list will be called for GD/Interview and Medical examination.
  • Final selection will be done based on candidate’s performance in GD/PI and Medical examination combined.
