DMRC Special Recruitment Drive 2018 for SC/ST Candidates

DMRC on January 27, 2018, declared that it will hold a special recruitment drive for the candidates who belong to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes for the year 2018.   • DMRC reserves the right to fix the minimum standard/qualifying marks for each component of selection for any/all posts.
  • The application fee is INR 250 which is non-refundable.
  • DMRC Selection Process will be based on Computer Based Test, Psycho Test and Skill Test as per Posts.

DMRC Recruitment 2018 Eligibility Criteria for SC/ST

A candidate must fulfil the following parameters to be eligible for the mentioned profiles-

  • A candidate must be of age between 18 to 33 Years as on January 1. 2018, i.e. born not earlier than 02.01.1985 and not later than 01.01.2000, for all posts.
  • A candidate can apply for more than one post if he satisfies the mentioned qualifications parameters.
  • All the candidates will be put on probation for a period of 2 years and will need to pass various exam. If a candidate fails to fulfill his/her duties satisfactorily, he/she will be dismissed from the service
  • Upper age relaxation by 10 years for PWD SC/ST candidates.
  • Upper age for Ex-servicemen will be length of service + 3 years, subject to a maximum age of 45 years. The Ex-servicemen are those who are covered in the definition, as per extant rules of Ministry of Defence/Govt of India.
  • Upper age relaxations by 5 years for candidates (SC/ST category candidates only) belonging to Jammu & Kashmir who had ordinarily been domiciled in that state between 01.01.1980 and 31.12.1989.
  • Reservation for Ex-Servicemen/PWD, wherever applicable, shall be treated as horizontal reservation.
  • Existing DMRC employees, belonging to SC/ST categories, who have completed at least 3 years continuous service in DMRC as on 1.1.2018, will be given upper-age relaxation/limit to the extent, as summarized below:
  1. For Executive posts (post codes SDE01 to SDE04), the maximum age relaxation: SC/ST – by 05 years
  2. For Non-Executive posts (post codes SDNE01 toSDNE02 & SDCNE01 to SDCNE03), the upper-age limit of the employee is: SC/ST – 40 years

DMRC Recruitment 2018 Selection Process for SC/ST

  • For the posts of Asstt. Managers under Section ‘A’ (for post codes SDE01 to SDE04), the selection process will be of 4 stages:
  1. Computer-based test
  2. Group discussion
  3. Personal interview
  4. Medical examination
  • For the posts of SC/TO, the selection process will be of 4 stages:
  • For the posts of Stenographer, the selection methodology will comprise a three-stage process:
  1. Computer-based test
  2. Psycho test (qualifying only)
  3. Medical examination
  • For the posts Accounts Assistant & Office Assistant, the selection process will be of 2 stages:
  1. Computer-based test
  2. Medical examination
  • For the posts Maintainer- Electronic Mechanic, the selection process will be of 2 stages:
  1. Computer-based test (Paper 1 only)
  2. Medical examination
  • Computer Based Test (CBT)
  • The CBT will consist of two papers - Paper-I and Paper-II.
  1. Paper-I will have 120 multiple-choice objective type questions, bilingual (Hindi/English), on General Awareness, General Intelligence & Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude (General English for Maintainer-Electrician, Electronic Mechanic, Fitter and Ref & AC Mechanic) and/ knowledge of the discipline/trade.
  2. Paper 1 will be of 90 minutes.
  3. Paper-II (Not for Maintainers post, viz., from RNE10 to RNE13) will be of 60 objective type questions on General English.
  4. The Paper-II will be of 45 minutes.
  5. Negative marking of 1/3rd of the mark for each incorrect answer.
  • Psycho test for SC/TO: The psycho test will be of Qualifying Nature.
  • Skill Test for Stenographer: The skill test will be of Qualifying Nature. The candidates will be given one dictation for 10 minutes in English at the speed of 80 w.p.m. The matter will have to be transcribed on computer only. The transcription time will be of 40 minutes (English).
  • Candidates who clear paper 1 and paper 2 with higher ranks on the merit list will be called for GD/Interview and Medical examination.
  • Final selection will be done based on candidate’s performance in GD/PI and Medical examination combined.
