Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has released notification for 56 vacancies of Junior Operator (Aviation) in Marketing Division of the Northern Region. The recruitment drive is meant to fill vacancies at different locations across the Northern Region of the country. Interested candidates can apply for the same on the official website of IOCL -

IOCL Recruitment 2018 Eligibility Criteria

All the candidates must fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria as stated below to be considered for the recruitment drive. He/she must have:

  • Passed the Higher Secondary (Class XII) with minimum aggregate of 45% marks for General & OBC candidates and 40% for SC/ST
  • Possess a valid Heavy Vehicle Driving License
  • Minimum one-year work experience in Heavy Vehicle driving (excluding training)
  • Minimum 18 years and Maximum age shall be 26 years for General category candidates as of January 31, 2018

Age relaxation for candidates of Reserved Categories-

  • Upper age limit up to  5  years  for  SC/ST  and  3  years  for  OBC(Non – Creamy Layer)  candidates
  • Upper age limit by 5 years, in addition to all other age relaxations given to SC / ST/OBC (Non-creamy Layer) as per Government norms, will be given to those who had ordinarily been domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989.

IOCL Recruitment 2018 Application Process

Candidates will find the steps below to apply for IOCL Recruitment 2018 for Junior Operators:

  • Registration has to be done online on the official website of IOCL
  • Scanned images of candidate’s photograph and signature have to be uploaded
  • Application fee is INR 150 for General and OBC candidates. There is no application fee candidates of SC/ST categories.
  • Application fee can only be paid online.

After completing the registration online, candidates need to take a print out of their application. The print out along with the copies of the following supporting documents must be sent to the officials.

  • Proof of Date of Birth – Xth std. /SSLC /Matriculation certificate/mark sheet mentioning the Date of Birth, School leaving certificate – duly self-attested
  • Certificate of the prescribed educational qualification - duly self-attested
  • Proof of regular mode of study for the prescribed qualification – duly self-attested
  • Attested copy of the Caste certificate in the prescribed format issued by the Competent Authority if applicable - duly self-attested
  • Copy of service book, discharge certificate for Ex-servicemen
  • Recent color passport size photograph.
  • Signature in black ink.

IOCL Recruitment 2018 Selection Process

Candidates will be selected on the basis of their score in written test which is tentatively scheduled for February 25, 2018 (Tentative). Those who qualify the written test will undergo a Skill Proficiency Physical Test (SPPT) of qualifying nature for final selection.

Details of Written Test-

  • The test will have 100 questions of 1 mark each
  • Three sections-Generic Aptitude, Reasoning Abilities, and Basic English Language Skills
  • No negative marking for incorrect answers
  • The duration of test will be 90 minutes
  • Section wise distribution of questions is tabulated below:

Qualifying Cut-Offs

  • The overall cut-off for candidates of General and OBC categories will be 50% and sectional cut-off will be 40%.
  • The overall cut-off for candidates from SC/ST category is relaxed to 45 % and 35% is the sectional cut-off.
