NEET PG 2017 Counselling Details

NEET PG 2017 counselling will be held in the month of March 2017. As NEET PG 2017 results were already declared, the counselling schedule for the 50% All India Quota seats will be released soon. Candidates can check the Counselling details on the official website of MCC. There will be two rounds of counselling. NEET PG 2017 Counselling will be held in online mode.

NEET PG Counselling

The counselling process will be held for 5 types of seats. Types of Seats are listed below:

All India 50% Quota Seats: MCC will conduct counselling for All India seats.

State Quota Seats:  For state Quota Seats the counselling will be held by the designated authority/university as per the rules and regulations

Admission to Private Institutes: Counselling will be held by the respective college/university using NEET PG score as per the rules and regulations

Admission to Armed Forces Medical Services Institutes: Counselling for the admission in Armed Forces Medical Services Institutes will be conducted by Directorate General Armed Forces Medical Services (DGAFMS), Ministry of Defence on the basis of NEET score.

Admission to DNB Board Speciality Courses: Centralized merit based counselling for DNB courses admission will be conducted by NBE.

Counselling Process

  • Main Counselling Registration: Candidates have to register online for the Counselling Process. Candidates have to enter their details for login.
  • Selection of Choices: In this step candidates have to fill out their college and stream choices. After selecting colleges candidates have to lock their choices.
  • Seat Allotment: In this step, candidates will be allotted the seats in one of the selected college based on the marks obtained by them. The seats will be allotted by the authority. The result will be published online on the official website.

How to apply for Counselling

New Registration

  • Candidates have to register for counselling by visiting on
  • Click on New registration
  • After Clicking on apply button, Candidate has enter Roll number, Mother’s name, mobile number, email id and Date of Birth.
  • Click on submit button. Now verify form will be shown.
  • Candidates have to enter security question and its answer. Candidates also have to put the password for the login purpose.
  • After that click on Submit Button

Registered User Login

  • After the registration, candidate can his data on the screen. Also he can edit his data if it is incorrect.
  1. In case of PH candidates, the candidate is required to select respective PH type, viz., PH1 or PH2.
  2. Candidate are required to update their complete mailing address along with pin code, phone number including STD, mobile and email etc. On clicking the ‘submit’ button, the candidate would be shown the data entered for verification and for confirmation.

Note: Once this the data is confirmed by the candidate then he could not change the data.

  • After that candidate, can submit choice, modify, delete or change as many as they required during the registration and choice filling

Choice Available

Candidates can see choices after clicking on Choices Available link. The available choices will be shown on the basis of marks and eligibility of the candidate.

Choice Submission

The Candidates have to submit the choices after filling them. To save the choices candidates have to  click on “Save and Continue”. To save the all choices and to go back to home page, candidates can click on “Save and Go to Home”.

Choice Interchange and Rearrange

Candidates can interchange their options also they can swap their choices from source to destination.

Delete Choice

In this, candidate can select as many choices he wants and click on delete button to delete his choice.

Locking Choice

Candidates have to lock the selected choice by clicking on Choice Lock Button. After locking of choices no more choice will be available for the candidates.

Below are the documents needed by the candidates for the counselling:

  • NEET PG Admit Card
  • NEET PG score Card
  • All semester marksheets in Graduation
  • Internship Completion Certificates
  • High School Certificate
  • Photo Id proof
  • Category Certificate
  • Orthopedic medical certificate

Note: For PH Category, The qualified candidates should get certification from one of the listed disability Assessment Boards:

  1. Vardhman Mahavir Medical College and Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi
  2. All India Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Mumbai
  3. Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research, Kolkata
  4. Madras Medical College, Chennai
