NEET PG 2018 Expected Cut off

This year, NEET PG 2018 was held on a single date in a single session. Also there was negative marking. Question-wise, there were no stark differences. NEET PG 2018 cut off will be declared after the release of result. Check NEET PG Analysis, Question Paper, Answer Key and Cut off

  • Obtain minimum of 50% in NEET PG held for the same academic year.
  • NEET PG 2018 Result will be declared by January 31, 2018. 
  • However, for the candidate’s belonging to Scheduled Castes/Tribes and Other Backward Classes (OBC), the minimum marks will be at 40%. Check NEET PG Qualifying Marks 2018
  • For Candidates with disabilities of lower limbs, the minimum marks will be at 45%.
  • NEET PG 2018 Counselling of candidates will take place according to their rank, namely All India NEET PG 2018 Rank, All India 50 % Quota Category Rank, All India 50 % Quota Rank and State Quota Rank. 

NEET PG 2018 Expected Cut offs

As per post graduate medical education regulations, you need to score marks equivalent to marks at qualifying percentile to qualify NEET PG. Qualifying marks are different for each category.

It is expected that cut off will be similar to that of last year.

Special case when Qualifying Marks are lowered

If number of candidates that qualify at these percentiles, is fewer than sufficient number, then Central Government in consultation with Medical Council of India may at its discretion lower minimum marks.

NEET PG Cut offs 2017

NEET PG exam was held from December 5, 2016 to December 13, 2016 in the online mode. The result was declared on January 15, 2017. The exam was conducted in 86 test centers at 41 cities. The cut off score is the lowest possible percentile that a candidate must secure in the test in order to qualify. The minimum qualifying percentile for NEET PG 2017 is as mentioned below:

NEET PG Cut Offs 2016

The CBSE had released the official cut off of NEET PG 2016 for the candidates of all the categories. The NEET 1/AIPMT was held on May 1 and July 24, 2016. The qualifying percentage for the both the examination is 50%, for General Category, and 40% for the candidates belonging to OBC/ST/SC category.

Below is the cutoff of National Eligibility Entrance Test PG 2016 for all the categories as notified by the CBSE after the declaration of the result. The total number of candidates in various categories (UR/OBC/SC/ST/UR-PH/OBC-PH/SC-PH/ST-PH) who were qualified to participate in online counseling for 50% quota seats was 31150 as per the guidelines. The cut off is as follows:

Candidates who had scored below category cut off scores were not qualified to participate in online counselling for NEET PG.


NEET PG Cut Offs 2015

The total number of candidates in various categories who were qualified to participate in online counselling of NEET PG 2015 session was 31040 as per the guidelines governing the conduct of counselling for NEET PG 2015. The table given below shows the category wise cutoff for different categories for the year 2015:

NEET PG Cut Offs 2014

The total number of candidates in various categories who were qualified to participate in online counselling for NEET PG 2014 was 30495 as per the guidelines governing the conduct of counseling for the said exam.

In terms of the above, the category wise cut-off scores to qualify for participation in online counselling for NEET PG 2014 are as follows:

The NEET PG Result 2017 was announced on January 15, 2017 for all the candidates who will appear for the examination. However, candidates who will secure the minimum qualifying marks will be declared qualified and will be eligible for admissions to the PG medical programs across the country. NEET PG 2017 Result was announced online and candidates have downloaded the NEET PG 2017 Rank Card after it was announced.
