NATIONAL LEVEL ONLINE TEST
The National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2017 for post graduate course will held on November 30 in 86 centers across 41 cities. As large number of aspirants applying for medicine of doctorate (MD) or medicine of surgery (MS) are confounded with decision of authorities to have no exam centers in Jammu & Kashmir, as was the practice, obligating them to opt for jammu and other test centers.
According to report – Contingent of MD/MS aspirants will have to travel other cities, Kashmir, leaving their jobs for days. They will be required to spend out their expenses for dwellling, boarding and travel to Jammu. Last year, approximate four thousand Kashmir applicants had been applied for PG courses through the official website of NEET.
While Board of professional entrance examinations said that officially over 60 percent medical aspirants to NEET post graduate courses hail from Kashmir division and not having a test center in Kashmir was not a fair decision for the domiciled candidates in this state. The Board was liable for all medical exams till supreme court overall rollback of entrance exams by all bodies for all medical and dental courses, its official allowing people to do without stopping them.
Know About NEET PG Eligibility
All over the country, for all medical and dental courses including MS, MD and MBBS including state of Jammu & Kashmir, NEET became mandatory exam for all those medical aspirants appearing for NEET 2017 entrance to be held between 5th December and 13th December 2016. The problem for the candidates from Kashmir seems to have just begun because no test centers has been allotted in Kashmir by BOPEE and the nearest exam center is Jammu for all those candidates.
In this session 2016-17, the exam will be computer based i.e, online exam for MBBS, MD, MS. The BOPEE has been allotted Kawa Institute of Management and Technology as a test center for examination in Jammu.
In previous years, the candidates remarked against the distracted environment in Kashmir on test centers due to some political reason and unrest between the citizens. After a discussion between the government and supreme court, Government had communicated to national board of education (NBE) about the availability of infrastructure and facilities in further institutes for conducting the entrance test in Srinagar that had been considered for the safety purpose but NBE did not warm up the idea. The NBE further said that online exams have been conducted in past too in various technology parks in Kashmir. As a result, the action plan given by the NBE was not approved by state government to conduct examination in technology parks of Kashmir. Relevantly, this year, All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS), MBBS entrance test was also conducted in Srinagar at two test centers.
NEET PG is an entrance examination conducted for candidates who wish to take up various medical courses in various universities across the nation . NEET PG will conducted for the first time this year and will replace AIPGMEE (All India post graduate medical entrance examination).
NEET PG Registration starts from 26th September and ends on 31st October. Candidates who wish to sit for the examination must hold MBBS degree. The exam will be conducted from 5th December to 13th December 2016. Application fee for the general category is INR 3750 and for the SC, ST or PWD is INR 2750. The NEET PG Result will be declared in the mid of January.
