NEET PG 2017 Seat Allotment result for Round 1 was declared on March 23, 2017. The result for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) Post Graduate (PG) 2017 was declared on January 13 on the official website. All successful candidates who appeared for the counseling Round 1 were waiting for the seat allotment result. Medical Council of India (MCC) has released the results for Round 1 of NEET 2017 Seat Allotment on the official website i.e. mcc.nic.in.
Around 5,598 candidates have secured seats in various medical colleges across the country for the medical courses. NEET PG 2017 seat allotment is done on the basis of NEET PG Result 2017. NEET PG 2017 was held in 86 test centers in 41 cities from December 2-13, 2016. The selection of NEET PG candidates has been made for the 50 per cent All India Quota (AIQ) medical seats over the country.
Counselling for round 1 has been conducted, as per NEET PG Result 2017. Nearly, 50 per cent of these seats will be filled through the two rounds of counselling till May 9. The vacant seats will be resubmitted to the respective states. Then, the state medical authorities will fill those seats.
Results of first round of counseling are available on the official website of MCC. Candidates need to follow the below steps to check their NEET PG 2017 seat allotment result
Step 1: Visit the official website of MCC i.e. mcc.nic.in
Step 2: Click on 'PG Medical Counselling' tab.
Step 3: Find the link for 'Allotment Result Round 1'
Step 4: Enter your roll number in the space provided and click submit
Step 5: A detailed List will be displayed
Step 6: Download and take printout of the list for future reference

Candidates who have been allotted seats under NEET PG Round 1, should go through the following points to know about the further procedure.

Stipend /fee structure varies from State to State and Institute to Institute. Some seats are approved but may not be recognized by MCI. NEET PG 2017 seat allotment made through online allotment process will be and final as per the Supreme Court's directions.
The information received from various participating Medical Colleges is available on Ministry of Health & Family Welfare / MCC website. Candidates should visit the website of the institution to check the information. In case they need any additional information, they can contact the institution on the telephone.
Candidates who seem to be dissatisfied by their NEET PG 2017 seat allotment result for round 1, can participate in the Round 2. The following steps can be followed by candidates to participate in NEET PG Round 2:
Join allotted institution and complete the admission formalities to become eligible to participate in 2nd Round.
Give the option to participate in Round-2 at the time of joining of seat allotted during Round -1, otherwise, you will not be eligible for participating in Round-2 (i.e. for up-gradation of your choice).

The second round of online allotment process includes Fresh choice filling and fresh allotment. There is no fresh registration but there will be a Fresh Choice submission for second Round of Counselling. Eligible candidates will be allotted seats on basis of choice and merit of the candidate.
Eligible candidates for seat allotment in the second round would be from one of the following groups:
Group–I: Registered candidates who are not allotted any seat in the 1st round.
Group-II: Registered candidates allotted seat during the first round but cancelled at the time of document verification (on reporting for admission due to change of category or PH status)
Group–III: Candidates who have joined the allotted institute during joining period of round-1 and submitted willingnessfor second round for upgradation.
The conversion of seats will be carried out during the second round of seat allotment.
For the second round, candidates should submit a fresh choice. During the second round of NEET PG 2017 seat allotment, the choice of higher preference will be considered for upgradation only for those candidates who will choose to upgrade their choice at the time of admission. During Round 2, fresh allotment will be considered for those candidates who are not allotted any seat due to non-availability of seat in a Round-1.
If sufficient number of PH candidates do not turn up for NEET PG Counselling 2017, the un-allotted PG seats marked for UR-PH, SC-PH, ST-PH and OBC- PH will be converted to respective categories like SC-PH to SC, during the second round of allotment process.
