The Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India has released a notice directed to all the Principal Secretaries (ME) of States and the Union Territories on the subject of NEET PG 2017 Counselling.
The NEET PG Counselling is conducted for the admission to PG Courses in the registered Medical Colleges of India.
The notice refers to the discussions held on November 28, 2016 via video conference with the States and the Union Territories regarding NEET PG and the NEET PG Counselling. The discussion has made it clear that most of the States and the Union Territories have reached an amicable consensus on the method of conducting the NEET PG Counselling. They have ascertained to hold combined counselling for all PG Medical and Dental courses at the State/Union Territory level including the Private Medical/Dental colleges and Private universities of India.
Besides, considering the success of the combined NEET UG 2016 Counselling, the authority has voted conducting combined counselling as an appropriate decision. It is declared that holding combined NEET PG 2017 Counselling through such designated authorities for admission to all PG Medical & Dental Courses in all Medical and dental Colleges in all the states and Union Territories. This will also include all the Private Medical & Dental colleges, Private/Deemed Universities for the academic session 2017-18.
