    Tamil Nadu PG 2017 Medical admission are done on the basis of NEET PG 2017 Score. CEE (Center for Environment Education), Government of Tamil Nadu will not conduct any entrance exam for admissions to medical courses such as MD, MS, PG diploma programmes. In Tamil Nadu PG Medical admission, 50% seats are reserved for state quota and remaining 50% seats are reserved for All India quota. The admissions under All India quota will be done by MCC (Medical Counselling Committee) on the basis of NEET PG 2017. The admission under state quota seats will be offered by the Directorate of Medical Education, Chennai.     NEET PG 2017 is a medical entrance examination conducted for admissions to MD (Doctorate of Medicine), MS (Master of Surgery) and PG diploma courses. It is organized by National Board of Education. NEET PG counselling process ends on March 19, 2017.

    Tamil Nadu PG Medical Eligibility 2017

    Directorate of Medical Education declares separate eligibility criteria for medical courses. The eligibility criteria vary according to the programmes. Check the required eligibility for NEET PG mentioned below.

    • Candidates must have an MBBS degree from a recognized university. They must have completed a CRRI (rotating internship) from Tamil Nadu on or before March 31, 2017. Candidates who completed their internship in any other state are not eligible.
    • Candidates who got admission in MD/ MS/ Diploma courses in 2016 session and have joined the course because of any reason are eligible for admission.
    • Candidates who had taken allotted seat last year in any course and did not join the course. They are not eligible to apply for two years.
    • Candidates pursuing a postgraduate degree or diploma programme are not eligible for admission.
    • A candidate can register and appear for NEET PG 2017 only once to take admission for the academic year 2017-18.

    Tamil Nadu PG Medical Application Form 2017

    Candidates willing to apply for PG medical admission in the state of Tamil Nadu have to fill the online application form. They can go through following points to know the application procedure as mentioned below:

    • They have to register at and fill up the personal, educational and residence address details in the NEET PG Application Form.
    • Candidates can make the payment either through online (debit/ credit card) or offline (demand draft) mode. The application fee for NEET PG is INR 3750 for general category while it is INR 2750 for SC/ST category.
    • Upload the scanned copy of photograph and signature and verify the entered details before clicking on the submit button.
    • They need to attach necessary documents and three self-attested envelopes 23*10 cms with the downloaded application form.

    Candidates are required to send the photocopy of the following enclosures along with the application form:

    • 10th/ 12th class certificates and mark sheets
    • MBBS/ Diploma programme certificate and mark sheets
    • CRRI completion certificate from Head of the Institution
    • Candidates who have qualified from other universities are required to produce eligibility certificate from Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University at the time counselling.
    • NEET PG 2017 Score Card
    • Medical fitness certificate issued by Medical Council of State or India
    • Caste certificate issued by a Revenue Divisional Officer (If applicable)

    Tamil Nadu PG Medical Merit List 2017

    The merit list of Tamil Nadu PG Medical is released on the official website. The Directorate of Medical Education, Chennai announces the state merit list at the time of declaration of result. 50% of the seats in the medical colleges of the Tamil Nadu fall under the state quota and rest of the 50% fall under the All India Quota. The admissions to 50% state quota seats are strictly done on the basis of NEET PG 2017 Scores. Candidates also fulfill eligibility criteria of Tamil Nadu PG Medical will only be considered for admissions. No individual information regarding the merit list will be sent to the candidates. The merit list consists of the following details such as name of the candidate, All India Rank, NEET PG 2017 Score, category etc.

    Tamil Nadu PG Medical 2017 Counselling

    Candidates will be called for Tamil Nadu PG Medical Counselling Process as per their ranks in NEET PG 2017. They can select only one programme in the colleges located in Tamil Nadu. The counselling process will be conducted in offline mode in two phases. If the candidates failed to attend the first round of counselling, then they are not eligible for the next round of counselling. In the case of vacant seats, candidates in the waiting list will be given preferences for the vacant seats. The request for the migration will not be accepted and the mutual transfer is not allowed. If the suppression of facts is found during admission process then candidates will have to give a declaration that they are subject to forfeiture of admission.

    The admission to MD/MS and PG diploma courses will be offered to qualified applicants as per the order of merit list. The merit list is based on the reservation criteria and other policies of the state admission authority. The admission to All India Quota candidates will be done through NEET PG 2017 Counselling.
