Tamil Nadu PG 2017 Medical admission are done on the basis of NEET PG 2017 Score. CEE (Center for Environment Education), Government of Tamil Nadu will not conduct any entrance exam for admissions to medical courses such as MD, MS, PG diploma programmes. In Tamil Nadu PG Medical admission, 50% seats are reserved for state quota and remaining 50% seats are reserved for All India quota. The admissions under All India quota will be done by MCC (Medical Counselling Committee) on the basis of NEET PG 2017. The admission under state quota seats will be offered by the Directorate of Medical Education, Chennai. NEET PG 2017 is a medical entrance examination conducted for admissions to MD (Doctorate of Medicine), MS (Master of Surgery) and PG diploma courses. It is organized by National Board of Education. NEET PG counselling process ends on March 19, 2017.

The merit list of Tamil Nadu PG Medical is released on the official website. The Directorate of Medical Education, Chennai announces the state merit list at the time of declaration of result. 50% of the seats in the medical colleges of the Tamil Nadu fall under the state quota and rest of the 50% fall under the All India Quota. The admissions to 50% state quota seats are strictly done on the basis of NEET PG 2017 Scores. Candidates also fulfill eligibility criteria of Tamil Nadu PG Medical will only be considered for admissions. No individual information regarding the merit list will be sent to the candidates. The merit list consists of the following details such as name of the candidate, All India Rank, NEET PG 2017 Score, category etc.
Candidates will be called for Tamil Nadu PG Medical Counselling Process as per their ranks in NEET PG 2017. They can select only one programme in the colleges located in Tamil Nadu. The counselling process will be conducted in offline mode in two phases. If the candidates failed to attend the first round of counselling, then they are not eligible for the next round of counselling. In the case of vacant seats, candidates in the waiting list will be given preferences for the vacant seats. The request for the migration will not be accepted and the mutual transfer is not allowed. If the suppression of facts is found during admission process then candidates will have to give a declaration that they are subject to forfeiture of admission.
The admission to MD/MS and PG diploma courses will be offered to qualified applicants as per the order of merit list. The merit list is based on the reservation criteria and other policies of the state admission authority. The admission to All India Quota candidates will be done through NEET PG 2017 Counselling.
