Uttar Pradesh PG Medical Admission Through NEET PG - Admission to 18 MD and 6 MS degree courses for 796 MD/MS seats in the medical colleges/ institutions of Uttar Pradesh shall be done on the basis of NEET-PG 2017 result. The NEET (National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test) PG is conducted to give admission to the candidates in MD/MS/PG Diploma programs at all the medical colleges of the country. There are 50% state quota seats available for all the states and the rest 50% is All India quota seats. The UP PG Medical 2017 results will be drawn on the basis of NEET-PG 2017 merit list.
The NEET PG 2017 was held in the month of December, i.e. from December 05, 2016 to December 13, 2016. Only those candidates who have qualified the NEET-PG 2017 and wants to apply for Uttar Pradesh PG Medical 2017, shall fill the online application form in the month of February, 2017. The UP PG 2017 Merit List will be made available in the month of March, 2017 based on the result of NEET-PG 2017. The UP PG Medical Counselling shall start in the month of April, 2017 under the supervision of Directorate of Medical Education, Uttar Pradesh.

The Directorate of Medical Education, Uttar Pradesh has declared eligibility criteria for the candidates who wants to take admission in Uttar Pradesh PG Medical courses viz. MD/MS/PG Diploma courses offered by the Medical colleges/universities of Uttar Pradesh.
The seats for UP PG 2017 Medical admission are reserved for different categories as per the regulations of government. The council has reserved 30% seats for in-service doctors of PMHS cadre who are selected through NEET-PG 2017 for admission in PG degree courses offered by the State Medical Colleges, Allahabad, Gorakhpur, Jhansi, Kanpur, Meerut, and Agra.
The application form of Uttar Pradesh PG Medical 2017 will be available online on the website in February, 2017. To apply, candidates have to first register themselves, on completing the registration they will be provided an Id and password. Candidates shall fill the application form by login using their ID and password, and fill all the required details in the application form.
The payment of fee Rs.1800/- could be done either online using Net banking, credit/debit card, etc. or offline in cash at HDFC/Allahabad bank. After the payment candidates must take a printout of the application form for any future reference.
The selection procedure of UP PG Medical 2017 includes the release of Merit List followed by counseling procedure. Two types of merit lists will be released by the conducting authorities’ i.e. Combined Merit list and Category merit list, based on the result of NEET-PG 2017.
The UP PG Medical 2017 merit list will be released in the month of March, 2017. Only those candidates who will qualify the NEET-PG 2017 and fulfill all the eligibility criterion of UP PG Medical 2017 will have their name listed in the merit list. The admission will be given to the candidates on the basis of their rank in the merit list. Candidates who will be listed in the merit list will be called for the UP PG Medical 2017 counseling procedure, conducted by the admission committee.
The UP PG Medical counselling procedure of 2017 is performed under the supervision of the Director General of Medical Education, Uttar Pradesh (UPDGME). The UP PG Medical counselling 2017 is done in online mode. The counselling will be done in three rounds and candidates who didn’t get the seat in the first round can reappear in the second or third round of counseling. Also, the candidates who want to reshuffle their allotted seat or wants any up gradation may also appear in the second or third round of counselling.
The allotment of seats will be done on the basis of the rank held by the candidate in the merit list, higher the rank, higher will be the possibility to get the course and college of one’s choice.
All the applicants have to report at the counselling center on the declared counselling date with all the required documents in original. Failing which may result in the cancellation of their candidature. Here is the list of all the documents needed during the counselling.
