NATIONAL LEVEL ONLINE/OFFLINE TEST
Staff Selection Commission releases the cutoff list of Tier 1 SSC CHSL 2017 after the declaration of SSC CHSL Result for Tier 1. Based on the cut off, candidates are selected for Tier 2 of SSC CHSL 2017.
The cut-off list of SSC CHSL for various tiers is the qualifying criteria based on the marks that the candidates secure in their belonging category for securing the entry to the next stage of recruitment process.
3259 job positions for various ministries and departments will be fulfilled entirely based on the marks obtained in Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 exams. The candidate who have scored equal or more marks than the cut-off will be considered as qualified for the next stage.
For the Tier 1 exam, which is a multiple-choice questions format, SSC CHSL Cut Off is calculated as the total marks obtained in the English, General Intelligence, General Awareness and Quantitative Aptitude after considering the negative marking of 0.50 marks for the incorrect answers attempted. The Tier 2 exam will be held on July 08, 2018 for which the result will be declared in August 2018. The Tier 2 cut off is the final cut off, which is very important criterion to take the deserving candidates to the final level.
The Tier 2 cut-off is calculated out of the 100 marks. Note that this is the qualifying round in which every candidate need to score 33 marks to move to the next level. Following is the Expected Tier 2 cut off for SSC CHSL 2017 exam for the postal/sorting assistant vacancies:
The cut-off of SSC CHSL Tier 3 is based on testing skills of the candidates by analyzing their typing speed on the computer. Please note that the marks secured in the Tier 1 and Tier 2 of SSC CHSL are considered only for preparing the merit list for selection to the third level.
The qualifying criteria for Tier 3 of LDC position is to type in the computer with the minimum speed of 8,000 key characters in an hour in any language. Candidates who opt for the English medium should have a typing speed of at least 35 words per minute, and the candidates opting the Hindi medium should have a typing speed of 30 words per minute.
The final cut-off list is to identify the candidates who are finally selected for the recruitment of positions in the various departments. The posts are allotted strictly on the basis of candidates’ preference per their rank in the merit list. The final cut-off for SSC CHSL 2017 will be calculated summing up the marks obtained by a candidate in both Tier 1 and Tier 2. Following is the expected final cut-off for SSC CHSL:
