SSC CHSL Tier I Exam Analysis for January 07, 2017

SSC CHSL for the first time is being conducted online. It is conducting from January 07 to February 08, 2017 in multiple sessions. There are four sections in this exam with a total of 100 questions. The total questions comprised of General intelligence, General Awareness, Quantitative aptitude and English. There are 25 questions per section. Candidates having their SSC CHSL exam on other days can get an idea of the exam as the pattern has some major changes this year. The time duration for online examination is 75 minutes. Two marks will be rewarded for every correct response and 0.5 marks will be deducted for every incorrect response. Here, candidates can check the following table for exam pattern as mentioned below:

Overall Analysis

The paper was of moderate level. It is apparent that SSC has started focusing more on time management skills of the candidates. On the basis of last year exam analysis of SSC CHSL, it can be said that paper was of difficulty level which involved concept based and calculative questions.

General Intelligence

The questions in this section were of easy level and the most scoring section for all candidates. The questions were asked from the topics included odd-one out, direction sense, pattern based, blood relation, Venn-diagram etc.

General Awareness

The level of questions in this section varied from easy to moderate. This section included the questions from current affairs, polity, general science, history etc.

SSC CHSL 2016 Expected Cut-Off

This year more than 2 lacs candidates are appearing for SSC CHSL 2017 exam and for the first time is being conducted online. This time the exam is moderate in terms of difficulty level. It is expecting that the cut-off marks will go higher this year than previous years. Candidates can go through the following table to know the expected cut-off as mentioned below:
