CBSE UGC NET Economics 2017

CBSE UGC NET 2017 Economics deals with production, consumption, and transfer of currency. This section is one of the most sought after sections in CBSE UGC NET. Economics in UGC NET Exam consists of 3 papers. Paper 1 consists of General teaching and research aptitude whereas Paper 2 and paper 3 is on economics. The CBSE UGC NET 2017 will be conducted in July. Since the exam is only a few months away, candidates are advised to go through full syllabus and prepare accordingly.  

Paper I of UGC will consist of 60 question, candidates will be required to answer only 50 questions. Paper II will have 50 objective type questions (Multiple choice, matching type, true/false, reasoning type) each carrying 2 marks. Paper III is divided into two parts – part A and Part B. Paper III(A) will have 10 short essay type question (300 words) carrying 16 marks each (total 160 marks). Each question will have one internal choice from each unit (i.e. 10 question from 1 units.) Paper III(B) will have one essay type question (800 words) carrying 40 marks. It will be set from unit 1 to unit 10.

NET (National Eligibility Test) 2017 is a national level examination conducted by CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) on behalf of UGC (University Grants Commission). CBSE UGC NET 2017 qualifies candidates for the role of Assistant Professor and for Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) for different subjects in Indian Universities and Colleges. CBSE UGC NET 2017 is conducted twice a year in January and July. The first exam was held on 22nd January 2017.

CBSE UGC NET 2017 Syllabus for Economics

  • People and Environment: People and environment interaction; sources of pollution; pollutants and their impact on human life, exploitation of natural and energy resources, natural hazards and mitigation
