JIPMER PG 2017 Result

JIPMER PG 2017 result will be declared on December 16, 2017.  Candidates have to check the result from the official website. The examination result is declared in the form of merit list consisting candidate’s name, All India merit rank and total percentile secured by the candidate. Candidates qualify the entrance test will only be eligible to appear in the counselling process.

JIPMER PG 2017: How to check the result and Rank Letter

By following the below points candidates can check the procedure to check JIPMER PG 2017 Result and rank letter:

  • Candidates have to visit the official JIPMER website.
  • Candidates need to enter Login ID and Password receiver after the application submission.
  • After that candidate will be redirected to their JIPMER PG 2017 result cum rank letter.
  • Candidates are advised to download the rank letter and keep it safe for future use.

JIPMER PG 2017: Qualifying Percentile

Candidates can check their qualifying percentile in JIPMER PG 2017 as per their categories:

Orthopaedic Physically Challenged category     45
OBC/ ST/ SC (including OPH)    40

If candidates obtain the same percentile in JIPMER PG 2017 then their merit list will be determined as follows: 

  • If two or more candidates obtain the same percentile then candidates scoring less negative marks will be placed higher on the merit list.
  • In the case of a tie in candidate’s date of birth, an elder candidate will be given preference.

After the declaration of JIPMER PG 2017 merit list candidates will be called for first counselling held in December followed by second and third counselling held on January.


JIPMER PG 2017: Merit List

JIPMER PG 2017 Merit list will be prepared category wise and displayed on the Notice Board of Academic section. More will be the scores higher will be the candidates rank at the merit list. Combined merit list will be prepared for sponsored or foreign national candidates. Seats of the candidate will be reserved according to their rank in the merit list.

JIPMER PG 2017: Score

Marks of the JIPMER PG 2017 are calculated using percentile method. According to the highest scores, cut-off marks of the candidate will be calculated. Cut-off score is required to select the best candidates for admission.

JIPMER PG 2017: Counselling

Candidates who are able to qualify entrance examination will only be allowed to the counselling process. After the declaration of JIPMER PG merit list counselling is conducted. Counselling will be done through offline mode only at the university campus. To participate in the counselling candidates have to download the counselling letter.

JIPMER PG counselling is done according to the candidate’s category rank i.e. (UR/ INST/ OBC/ SC/ ST/ OPH) and not according to the overall rank. Candidates need to follow below instruction regarding counselling process:

  • On the day of the counselling, candidates need to bring JIPMER PG 2017 hall ticket along with the Biometric authentication.
  • MBBS pass candidates need to bring pass certificate on the day of counselling.
  • Candidates must be physically present at the day of counselling.
  • Candidates need to pay the admission fees after their selection in the counselling.

At the time of counselling candidates need to submit the following documents along with the one set of self-attested copies:

  1. Hall Ticket
  2. Rank letter
  3. Proof of Date of Birth
  4. Qualifying examination certificate
  5. Statement of marks of qualifying exam
  6. Character and conduct certificate
  7. Residence certificate issued by Revenue Authority
  8. Caste certificate obtained from competent authority
  9. Transfer certificate from Head of the Institution
  10. If candidate belong to Puducherry they need to submit Residence certificate or Employer certificate
  11. OPH candidates need to submit Medical certificate
  12. Recent six passport size colour photographs.

Note: If certificates are in any other language except English then English translation of the certificate should be done and attested by Gazetted officer.
