    Logical Reasoning in SSC CGL is one the most important for the candidates to prepare the exam. Holding 50 marks-weightage in the exam, it must be studied well while preparing for SSC CGL.

    SSC CGL Preparation Tips

    The main goal while preparing for the test is simply to know each topic well and achieve the highest score. The preparation must be in such a way that there is no confusion left when you are fully prepared and leaving for the exam on the date of examination.


    Syllogistic Reasoning

    • This is the most important topic that comes every year in the exam and is a scoring topic if practiced well.
    • Use Venn diagrams to solve questions of this type.
    • Syllogisms can have accuracy. This means if you attempt 5 questions, you will get around 3-4 right on an average.
    • Practice this topic as much as you can.

    Relationship Concepts

    • These questions might appear long and complicated however they are simple to solve. Once you get the flow according to the question then it will hardly take 1-2 minutes to solve 5 questions related to relationship.
    • Use diagrammatic representation to solve it.

    Statement conclusion

    • There is no definite right or wrong answer in these questions, since it depends on the thought process of the candidate.
    • Mark the answer only if you are sure or the question is really easy.
    • Spend no more than 2-3 minutes combined on this topic.

    Seating Arrangement and Directions

    • The best part about sitting arrangement questions is they are clubbed together. This means they are asked as set of 3-5 questions based on one case.
    • So, if candidate manages to get the initial arrangement correct, then it will be easy to attempt all questions for that case in a total time of 3-4 minutes.
    • Practice for these types of questions as much as you can. Practice is the main key to get these questions solved in time.

    Coding - Decoding

    The number of questions from this topic just keeps on increasing every year and you can easily crack these questions, provided you have practiced them enough.
