At the time of applying for SSC CGL, select JSO as one of the post preferences. After clearing the requisite cut off for the three tiers of recruitment examination, candidates will be required to attempt the fourth tier which is the computer/ skills test. Check SSC CGL Cut Off

Every year, the cut off set for every post is subject to change. The cut off is primarily decided on the following factors.

172 OBC candidates and 11 SC candidates who have provisionally cleared the UR cut off are placed in their respective categories.
Candidates selected for the post of Statistical Investigator (Grade II) post must be flexible to be posted anywhere in the country since the job entails work nationwide.
National Sample Survey Office (NSSO) takes charge of the vast majority (almost 80%) of the postings of the Junior Statistical Officers (JSOs). The rest of the postings are allotted in the various Ministries, Departments and Organizations within the Union government. The basic work that is to be discharged by the JSO posted by the NSSO can be categorized into two types.
This part of the work requires dedicated and intense field work. Activities and distribution of work are handled by the Field Operations Division (FOD) of the NSSO.
Data processing is basically a non-field, behind the desk job. Activities surrounding this aspect are taken care of the Non-Field Operations Department.
Along with the monthly salary, JSOs also have the following incentives, benefits and allowances.
JSOs are offered posts under the Subordinate Statistical Service (SSS) Cadre. Overall, per month salary of candidates appointed as JSOs will be close to INR 30,000. There are many perks, benefits, and advantages.
