SSC CGL 2018 Registration Commences from February 2018

SSC will release the official notification for SSC CGL Exam 2018 in the month of February 2018. The last date to apply for SSC CGL is March 24, 2018. The commission will conduct the Tier 1 exam of SSC CGL from August 27, 2018. The Tier 2 exam of SSC CGL 2018 is scheduled to be conducted on September 5 to 8, 2018 (Tentative) and Tier 3 will be held in November 12, 2018 (Tentative).

  • SSC CGL 2018 Application Form would be available only in online mode.
  • Registration process for SSC CGL 2018 will commence from February 13, 2018 and will last up to March 24, 2018.
  • SSC CGL 2018 online application form consists of 2 steps- Online Registration and Online Form Filling.
  • All the applicants are required to send only one SSC CGL application, as multiple applications from the same candidate would be summarily rejected.
  • Candidates who have completed their graduation in any stream will be eligible to apply for SSC CGL 2018.

SSC CGL 2018 Registration Process

SSC CGL 2018 registration process requires the applicant to go through the following stages:

SSC CGL 2017 Registration

SSC CGL 2018 Registration Process: This is the step 1 of the CGL 2018 Application form filling. The candidate has to get the registration done by providing the basic details like name, age, mobile number, date of birth and email address. The candidate will receive a mail in their email id. The candidate has to click on the activation link to get his account activated on the portal.

SSC CGL 2018 Application Process: This is the step 2 in the process of filling the SSC CGL 2018 Application form. The candidate must complete this step by providing the details of the educational qualification and other details as asked. Once the page is filled click on “Save” button. The details will be saved in the database of SSC CGL exam team. The candidate must move to the next step immediately which is uploading the scanned copy of the photograph and signature.

Document upload SSC CGL 2018: This is a very important step. This requires the candidate to upload the scanned copy of the photograph and signature within the defined size limit. The CGL 2018 documents required are as follows:

Photographshould be greater than 4 Kb and less than 12 Kb. Resolution, should be 100 by 120 pixels

Payment of Application fees: Now, you have to choose the Payment Option. i.e. either online or offline payment.

  • If, you choose offline payment, then the system will generate a Challan form, that should be printed and taken to the nearby SBI Branch for Payment of application fees and note Down the Transaction no. given by the Bank and continues with Part-II registration.
  • However, if you choose to make payment through Online mode viz. Credit Cards/Debit card/ Net Banking etc., then you can directly proceed for Part-II registration after completing the Part-1 Registration.

Submission of Application form: Now, you have to upload the Scanned copy of your Photograph and Signature, as Registration is incomplete without this step. We have already mentioned the Size and Dimensions of Scanned Documents.

SSC CGL 2018 Application Form Correction

Candidates must be extremely careful as there is no option for editing the details provided during the Registration after the Final Submission of the SSC CGL application. If error occurs at the time of filling of details in the registration part, candidates can start the entire procedure of Registration I again. SSC accepts the application which is last filled by the candidates along with the payment made of that application form.

SSC CGL 2018 Eligibility Criteria

A number of SSC CGL 2018 Eligibility Criteria is applicable to all the candidates applying for the examination. It is mandatory for all the candidates to abide by these criteria. The SSC CGL 2018 Eligibility Criteria is inclusive of the nationality, educational qualification, age limit, physical standards etc. A few important SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria is discussed below:

  1. Nationality: SC CGL Eligibility Criteria as per Nationality mandates a candidate to be a resident of the prescribed states only. The candidate must be:
    1. A citizen of India OR
    2. A subject of Nepal OR
    3. A subject of Bhutan OR
    4. A Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before January 1, 1962, to permanently settling in India OR
    5. A PIO (Person of Indian Origin) who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam to permanently settle down in India.
  2. Age Limit: The candidates should satisfy the age limit criteria applicable to different posts. It differs from post to post. The Commission accepts the Date of Birth mentioned on the Matriculation / Secondary Examination Certificate only. Aspirants applying for SSC CGL must not be less than 18 years and cannot be more than 32 years of age.
  3. Age Relaxation: There is a relaxation of the age limit criteria for candidates belonging to different reserved categories. Relaxation of Upper age limit for various categories are: SC/ST (5 years), OBC (3 years), PH (10 years) etc.
  4. Educational Qualification: The basic academic eligibility that the candidates have to fulfill is to have a Bachelor’s degree. There are other criteria such as minimum percentage, Course of graduation that is applicable to different posts are different.

SSC CGL 2018 Admit Card

SSC CGL 2018 Admit Card will be available on the official website i.e., starting from first week of August 2018. As no postal service will be provided to the candidates, it is advisable to download it at the earliest from the official website.

SSC CGL 2018 Admit Card will contain information about exam date, venue and time. Candidates will have to attach a passport size photograph and sign across the photograph. A valid ID proof has to be carried along with the admit card on the exam day.

  • Go to the official website
  • Click on the Admit Card link
  • Click on SSC CGL 2018 Admit Card
  • Enter your SSC CGL 2018 registration number and date of birth as password
  • Verify all the details mentioned in the Admit Card
  • Download and save your SSC CGL 2018 Admit Card.
  • Obtain a hard copy for future reference
