UPSC Recruitment 2017: 13 Vacancies for Assistant Anthropologist and Specialist Grade III

UPSC has released the notification for recruitment of 13 vacancies. Candidates can fill the Application form on the official website of UPSC. Application form can be submitted after paying application fee and uploading required scanned documents.

  • Last date to submit the Online Recruitment Application form is November 30, 2017.
  • Application Fee is INR 25 which can be paid via net banking. Reserved category candidates and women are exempted for Application Fee Payment.
  • There are 3 vacancies for the post of Assistant Anthropologist and 10 for Specialist Grade 3
  • Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of information provided in the Application Form.
  • Shortlisted candidates will be called for Personal Interview Round or Recruitment Test followed by Interview.

Job Details of the Post of Assistant Anthropologist

UPSC is recruiting for 03 vacancies for the post of Assistant Anthropologist. The job responsibilities for this post are mentioned below:

  • Conduct research work in the field of Cultural or Social Anthropology.
  • Collecting of data, analysis and report writing.
  • Assist Sectional Head when required.

Job Details for the Post of Specialist Grade-III

UPSC has announced 10 vacancies for the post of Specialist Grade-III for Radio Diagnosis. The job responsibility for this post are mentioned below:

  • Conduct and guide research work in radio diagnosis
  • To give patient care in specialty
  • Complete Duties assigned by the authorities

UPSC Recruitment 2017 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should check the eligibility criteria before filling UPSC Recruitment 2017 Application Form. Candidates who does not able to satisfy the criteria for UPSC Recruitment will not be consider for admission process. Given below is the eligibility criteria for Assistant Anthropologist and Specialist Grade candidates can check:

Assistant Anthropologist

Age Criteria

  • Candidate’s age should not be more than 30 years.
  • Reserved Category candidates will get relaxation. 5 years relaxation for SC/ST category and 3 years for OBC Category.
  • 10 years of age relaxation is given to the physically handicapped candidates.

Education Qualification

  • Candidates must have master’s degree in Anthropology or equivalent from a recognized university.
  • Candidates should have evidence of socialization in Cultural Anthropology
  • Candidates must have research experience in the field of Cultural Anthropology of not less than 9 months.

Specialist Grade-III

Age Criteria

  • Candidate’s age should not exceed 40 years.
  • Reserved Category candidates will get relaxation. 5 years relaxation for SC/ST category and 3 years for OBC Category.
  • 10 years of age relaxation is given to the physically handicapped candidates.

Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must have a MBBS degree recognized from Medical Council of India.
  • Should have completed post- graduation.

OR

  • Diploma in Doctor of Medicine (Radio-diagnosis); or Doctor of Medicine (Radiology); or Master of Surgery (Radiology); or Diploma in Medicine and Radio Diagnosis or equivalent diploma of one year duration.

Experience

  • Candidates must have a 3 year experience after completing post –graduation.

OR

  • Candidates should have 5 year experience after completing Diploma.

Note:

  • Relaxation in upper agelimit for Ex-Servicemen and Commissioned Officers including ECOs/SSCOs upto 5 years subject to fulfilling eligibility guidelines for ex-servicemen.
  • Age relaxation of 5 years in upper age limit for J&K domiciles from January 1, 1980 to December 31, 1989.
  • Upper age limit relaxation upto 10 years (15 years for SC/ST and 13 years for OBC) for certain Person with Disability (PwD) candidates – blindness or low vision, hearing impairment and locomotor disability or cerebral palsy.
  • PwD candidates can claim relaxation in upper age limit and other relaxations only if the extent o disability is more than 40% and the posts are identified as suitable for them.

UPSC Recruitment 2017: How to Apply?

Candidates can fill the Application Form from the official website. Link for filling application form will only available till the closing date of application form i.e. November 30, 2017. Candidates can follow the steps given below to fill the Application Form:

  • Visit the official website of UPSC i.e. www.upsconline.nic.in
  • Click on the link “Online Recruitment Application for Various Posts”
  • Click on ‘New Registration’ and enter all required details
  • Save the generated login ID and Password.
  • Click on Apply  Online’
  • Pay Application Fee
  • Upload the Required documents
    • 10th/Matriculation Certificate indicating date of birth
    • Degree/Diploma certification for proof of academic qualification
    • Order Letter from head of institute for claiming equivalent educational qualification
    • Certificate in prescribed format by head of organization for claiming professional experience
    • Caste Certificates in the prescribed fornat
    • Affidavit for claiming non-creamy layer status (for OBC candidates)
    • Physically Handicapped Certificate in the prescribed format
  • Verify the application form and click on ‘Submit
  • Print the Application Form for future purposes

UPSC Recruitment 2017: Selection Process

The selection process of UPSC Recruitment is based on Application Form followed by Personal Interview or Recruitment Test followed by Interview round. Candidates will be shortlisted for subsequent stages against the information provided in the Application Form.

In either cases, the category wise minimum level of eligibility in the interview round is as follows:

  1. UR – 50/100 marks
  2. OBC – 45/100 marks
  3. SC/ST – 40/100 marks

Personal Interview will be conducted by panel appointed by UPSC. Candidates who manage to clear personal interview round will be finally selected for the respective post.

Pay Scale for UPSC Recruitment

The pay scale is different for different post candidates can check in the table given below:

General Guidelines for UPSC Recruitment 2017

Candidates should check thegeneral guidelinesissued by UPSC before appearing for interview/recruitment test:

  • Candidates are not allowed to take mobile in the UPSC Interview Hall.
  • Applicants claiming reservation under scheduled categories must bring their caste certificate (if applicable).
  • Any prohibited activity like smoking inside hall could lead to disqualification of candidates.
  • Candidates should bring call letters for the round of personal interview.
