NATIONAL LEVEL OFFLINE TEST
In a recent advertisement, UPSC invites eligible candidates against vacancies of 15 Specialist Grade-III, Assistant professor (Microbiology), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare
Interested candidates can apply only through the online mode before the last date of application submission. The candidates are advised to read all the instructions carefully before start filling the application form. Candidates will be selected on the basis of marks secured by them in the Recruitment Test but final selection will be based upon interview. Only those candidates will be shortlisted who have scored more than Cut off marks in the Recruitment test.
UPSC provides reservation to candidates who are physically challenged with disabilities like Orthopedically Handicapped/ Locomotor Disability/ Cerebral Palsy with both legs affected but not arms or having One leg affected (Right or Left)or Muscular Weakness and limited physical endurance.
The total number of vacancies that are reserved for Specialist Grade-III and Assistant professor (Microbiology) is 15. The pay scale for this post lies between INR 15600-39,100/- plus Grade pay amount of INR 6600/-.

Candidates need to perform the following duties that are selected for the Specialist Grade-III and Assistant professor (Microbiology) posts.
The eligibility criteria of UPSC recruitment is explained as below:
Experience: Candidates must possess at least three years teaching experience as Sr. Resident or Tutor or Demonstrator or Registrar in the concerned or super speciality in recognised teaching institute after getting post graduate degree.
Age: Candidate’s age limit will be 40 years.
UPSC provides Reservation and relaxation only when the physical disability of the candidate is more than 40%. The following table shows the various age relaxations in years:

UPSC provides 10 years age relaxation to physically handicapped candidates. The Following table shows the category wise age relaxation:

Candidates have to follow the below steps in order to apply for the Specialist Grade-III and Assistant professor (Microbiology) posts.
The UPSC examination is comprised of objective type questions with multiple choice answers. All the questions in the paper carry equal marks. The total time duration to complete the examination is 2 hours carries a maximum of 100 marks.
Candidates are advised to attempt all the questions carefully because for every wrong answer 1/3 marks will be deducted. The test will be conducted both in Hindi as well as English medium.
Candidates should check the syllabus before start preparing for the UPSC Recruitment 2017 test. In the entrance examination, questions are asked from the two sections i.e. Arithmetic and Reasoning.
