    Banaras Hindu University conducts BHU UET every year in the month of May. The test is conducted for undergraduate courses offered by BHU. Students clearing the entrance exam can appear for the counselling process and choose their desired courses. 

    BHU UET 2018 counselling is expected to start from the first week of July 2018. BHU UET 2018 counselling will be conducted by the Banaras Hindu University. BHU UET 2018 Results will be declared in the 1st or 2nd week of June 2018.

    The process of applying for BHU UET 2018 counselling involves following steps:

    • Online registration and entering preference
    • Seat allotment
    • Issuance of provisional admission letter
    • Payment of admission fees

    Once you are allocated a seat at the preferred college or university, you can start completing the formalities to take the admission.

    BHU UET 2018 Counselling Highlights

    BHU UET 2018 counselling will take place both online and offline. It is expected to start from the second week of July 2018. Only the candidates whose names are listed in the merit list are allowed to apply for BHU UET 2018 counselling.

    BHU UET 2018 Counselling Procedure

    BHU UET 2018 will held in May 2018. The entrance test is conducted for undergraduate programs. Students can appear for BA, B.Sc, and B.Com tests to apply in various courses. All the exams are conducted on separate dates in the month of May.

    Admissions to the students would be granted on a merit basis. Each course has different eligibility criteria.  A candidate who qualifies the eligibility of BHU UET 2018 will be issued a call letter for the counselling.

    Some important points to remember are:

    • Students clearing merit list can only apply for counselling
    • Qualifying candidates will be issued call letters online for BHU UET 2018 counselling. No call letters would be sent offline.
    • Candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria of BHU UET 2018 for B.A./B.Sc./B.com Hons. programs will be shortlisted for admissions in the respective courses.
    • BHU UET 2018 counselling In-charge would check and verify all the documents.

    BHU UET 2018 Stepwise Counselling Process

    Steps involved when applying for BHU UET 2018 counselling are:

     1. Online Entry of Preferred Course

    After downloading the call letter online, using issued password, candidates will have to select the preferred course. Following details need to be filled:

    • Name of the course with or without any combination. For example B.A Hons./B.Sc. Hons./B.Com Hons
    • Choice of Courses – In case, a candidate gets admission to more than one course
    • Preferred Location – Candidates need to fill their preferred location. For example preferred affiliated institutes/RGSC college/faculty/department on the main campus
    • Type of Seat – Regular or paid. Once regular seats are allocated, only paid seats can be availed.

    2. Allotment of Seat at BHU UET 2018 counselling

    After the online process, BHU releases counselling schedule online. This usually happens in the second week of July. Candidates are then called for the counselling according to their rank and selected course.

    Candidates need to appear for the counselling in order to gain the seat. A candidate can also request the in-charge to change course preference. Once, a seat is confirmed at the counselling venue, candidates can submit asked documents for verification. Usually, it takes one day to check and verify the documents and until then candidates are given provisional admission letter. It contains the date of counselling, the course of admission, regular or paid fees, the mode of payment, and the last day of payment.

    Documents Required at the time of BHU UET 2018 counselling

    After online form is filled for BHU UET 2018 counselling. Candidates need to take the copies of the following documents along with the printout of the registration form at the counselling venue.

    List of documents required for BHU UET 2018 counselling:

    • Mark sheets of 10th and 12th qualifying exam or equivalent exam
    • Transfer certificate and migration certificate, issued by school
    • Medical certificate for physically handicapped candidates
    • Date of Birth certificate or 10th class certificate for age proof
    • Category certificate for SC, ST, OBC, or others to avail the reservation quota
    • Sports category certificate
    • Certificate for children of BHU Employee (in service, retired, deceased or re-employed) issued by central registrar of BHU

    3. Final Admission

    • Candidates who have paid the fees offline need to submit the proof at BHU UET 2018 counselling venue.
    • Candidates who have paid the admission fee are eligible for admission
    • Candidates who do not submit the fee before the last date will not be allowed admission in any course
    • Cancellation of admission until the release of next BHU UET 2018 counselling is allowed.
    • BHU will prepare and publish the final list of vacancies of seats

    BHU offers ample of undergraduate courses. BHU UET 2018 counselling will be conducted in second week of July to allocate students their desired seats in the preferred colleges. Each course has a different number of seats allocated to the candidates.

    Supernumerary Reservation Quota under BHU UET 2018

    In addition to the regular quota, BHU offers quota under two more categories, children of BHU employees and paid seats.
