VITEEE will comprise 125 questions from 5 different subjects i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, and English. Applicants are required to go through the syllabus so that they can prepare well for the exam. VIT university has announced the detailed syllabus for VITEEE 2019.
Here is the detailed information of Mathematics syllabus, so that candidates can prepare the topics and subjects well. This is the most difficult section in the exam because candidates are required to solve numerical based questions within limited time. That is why applicants should prepare well to score better in VITEEE 2019.
VITEEE 2019 is scheduled from April 05 to April 16, 2019. The exam is divided into 4 sections i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Mathematics, English. Mathematics section carries 40 questions. The questions in the Mathematic section are based on numerical, charts and graphs and its take time to solve it. So candidates need practice to solve them within a specific time.
Before starting preparation for the VITEEE Exam, candidates should check the detailed syllabus of the exam. Candidates should prepare according to the importance of the topics asked in the exam. Mathematics comprises total 14 topics in the syllabus. Applicants are required to first focus on most important topics followed by the ones that hold lesser weightage in the exam. Table mentioned below lists topics divided as per their number of occurrence in the previous year papers of VITEEE.

Strategic Preparation is very important to qualify VITEEE. Before starting preparation for the VITEEE Mathematics, candidates should divide their time according to listed topics.
Analytical Geometry Of Three Dimensions - This is one of the most important topic of mathematics. It is the study of geometry using a coordinate system. It is time consuming section. The questions of this section are based on graphs. To prepare for this section, candidates should try to make graphs.
Complex Numbers – A complex number is a number that can be expressed in the form a + bi, where A and B are real numbers and ‘i’ is the imaginary unit. The questions of this section will be based on graphs and formulas.
Differential Calculus – Differential calculus is a subfield of calculus concerned with the study of the rates at which quantities change. It is one of the two traditional divisions of calculus, the other being integral calculus. This section is also is about calculation and graphs.
Integral Calculus – This level of this section is moderate. Candidates can save their time in this section. In mathematics, an integral assigns numbers to functions in a way that can describe displacement, area, volume, and other concepts that arise by combining infinitesimal data.
Trigonometry - Trigonometry is a branch of mathematics that studies relationships involving lengths and angles of triangles. The questions of this section is based on pie chart. The level of this questions is easy. Candidates can score better in this section.
Limits and Continuity – This section is based on formula and graphs. To qualify this section candidates need a lot practice but they can save their time in this section. In mathematics, a limit is the value that a function or sequence "approaches" as the input or index approaches some value. Limits are essential to calculus and are used to define continuity, derivatives, and integrals.
Matrices and Determinants – This is quite tough and time consuming section. To solve the questions of this section candidates should be perfect in the formulas. A matrix is defined as an ordered rectangular array of numbers. They can be used to represent systems of linear equations.
Probability Distributions – This is time consuming section but the level of this section is quite easy. The questions asked in the section are based on theory and formulas. Candidates can easily get better score in the section. In probability theory and statistics, a probability distribution is a mathematical function that, stated in simple terms, can be thought of as providing the probability of occurrence of different possible outcomes in an experiment.
Vector Algebra - This is also time consuming section. Applicants have to make graphs in this section. In mathematics and linear algebra, vector algebra refers to algebraic operations in vector spaces. Most commonly, it refers to operations on Euclidean vectors.
