Q2. What are the websites you followed for getting regular updates and preparation?

free job

Q3. Share the name of the books and materials that you followed for excelling in GATE?

GATE Arihant

Note: GATE Books

Q4. Write some of the preparation tips for someone who is starting 4 and 2 months before the exam?

I have seen a lot of people who secure good ranks without going to any coaching. A lot of people are so focused & self-disciplined enough, that they collect the necessary resources and start off themselves.

  • Keep in mind you are assured to fail, if you plan study from materials alone provided your institute
  • Every coaching material is sure to contain errors at some portion or other.
  • Make sure you are about to join a reputed institute with a good track record, especially for the particular program you are about to join (It may be the case, that someone has just joined for test series in one institute and secured a top rank, but you enroll for a classroom program, while topper was doing his classroom program at some other institute).
  • Its best if you know someone who has already studied there and knows about the institute.
  • Never sweat much brooding over finding the ultimate best institute.  choose one among the good ones, which suits you best, say by location, timing or program flexibility, because ultimately, it’s your effort that is going to pay off.

Q5. Share your Strategy and how did you overcome the weak areas, what special efforts did you put in?

Joining coaching has pros & cons....

  1. Regular mock tests
  2. You have an idea of which topics you need to focus more
  3. Others influence may even motivate to study

If you are not joining then it’s entirely you who has to do it..., it may take even more time to understand the concepts and you need to practice even more to get a good score but self-practice gives you more confidence even though it takes time.
