GATE 2018 Cutoff for Computer Science Engineering (CSE)

GATE 2017 CSE Cutoff

GATE Cutoff is the minimum score required for getting admissions to M.Tech programs across IITs and NITs. GATE Cutoff will vary from institute to institute. The cutoff marks determine whether the students get qualified or not for the exam. GATE 2018 Cutoff for CSE will be declared by IIT Roorkee along with GATE 2018 result. The result for GATE exam has been declared on March 16, 2018. In this article, we are discussing the previous year category wise cutoff for different IITs. 


GATE 2018 Expected Cutoff for CSE

GATE exam for CSE was held on February 4, 2018. GATE 2018 expected cutoff vary according to the categories. The marks for general category is higher as compared to others. Check the following table for cutoff to get a fair idea of the score they need to obtain to apply for M.Tech admissions.

GATE 2015 CSE Cutoff at IIT Kanpur

The admissions in IITs will be done through written test and personal interview conducted by IITs. IIT Kanpur releases their cutoff after the written test and interview separately for direct admissions in M.Tech course. Here, we are providing the cutoff marks at IIT Kanpur for both rounds.

GATE 2015 CSE Cutoff at IIT Madras

IIT Madras has different criteria for the candidates studying in IITs should have obtained at least 8.0 of CGPA. Non- IITs candidates must have obtained at least 70% of marks. Relaxation of 5% in marks will be given to the reserved category candidates as mentioned below:

Factors Affecting GATE Cutoff

For getting admission through GATE is not only depend on written examination. The cutoff is the minimum qualifying marks to get shortlisted in different institutes. There are various factors which affects the cutoff marks which are given below:

  • Total number of candidates appearing for GATE exam
  • The difficulty level of questions which are asked in the examination
  • The relative performance of candidates in selection process
  • Reservation criteria is also a main factor to raise the cutoff.
