NATIONAL LEVEL ONLINE TEST
Candidates have to secure minimum marks in gate cutoff for admission to ME/M.Tech program in IITs and NITs and other participating colleges. GATE Cutoff will vary from institute to institute. The cutoff marks determine whether the students get qualified or not for the exam. IIT Roorkee will release the GATE cutoff, after the declaration of result.

This year, GATE 2019 is scheduled for December 2, 3, 9 and 10, 2019 in online mode. Candidates who fulfill the GATE eligibility criteria can fill the application form. The result for GATE exam will be declared on March 16, 2019. In this article, we are discussing the previous year category wise cutoff for different IITs.

Apart from admissions in postgraduate courses, GATE cut off scores are also considered for employment in PSUs, direct recruitment to Group A posts in Central Government. A good GATE score can avail you financial assistance for postgraduate programs.
The marks for the general category is higher as compared to others. Check the following table for cutoff to get a fair idea of the score they need to obtain to apply for M.Tech admissions.

In nearly, total 1.5 lakhs of candidates appeared for GATE 2015 exam. The minimum qualifying marks to qualify in GATE exam for all the category is as follow:
The admissions in IITs will be done through written test and personal interview conducted by IITs. IIT Kanpur releases their cutoff after the written test and interview separately for direct admissions in M.Tech course. Here, we are providing the cutoff marks at IIT Kanpur for both rounds.

Candidates should have obtained at least 60% of marks in B.Tech to apply for IIT Delhi admission process. Check the following category wise cutoff marks at IIT Delhi:

IIT Kharagpur cutoff goes higher than other IITs for Computer Science Engineering. It releases separate cutoff marks for different categories as mentioned below:

IIT Madras has different criteria for the candidates studying in IITs should have obtained at least 8.0 of CGPA. Non- IITs candidates must have obtained at least 70% of marks. Relaxation of 5% in marks will be given to the reserved category candidates as mentioned below:
