STATE LEVEL OFFLINE TEST
KEA (Karnataka Examinations Authority) released the latest notification of KCET 2017 on January 26, 2017. KCET application process has commenced from January 27 onward. KCET is conducted by KEA (Karnataka Examination Authority) for admission to Medical, Dental, Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Unani, Naturopathy & Yoga, Engineering, Technology, B.Pharm courses.
KCET 2017 is scheduled to take place on May 2-3, 2017 at various exam centers. Application forms can be filled online at the official website of KCET at kea.kar.nic.in before February 27, 2017 (up to 4 pm). An application fee of INR 650 (INR 500 for SC/ST and INR 5000 for foreign candidates) has to be paid to completely submit the KCET application form on or before March 2, 2017.
KCET exam comprises of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics. The question papers are mostly based on I & II PUC syllabi prescribed by the Department of Pre-University Education of Karnataka State. Candidates can appear in Physics, Chemistry and Biology papers or Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics papers for seeking admission in Pharmacy degree courses.
KEA had already announced that the admissions to medical and dental courses will be purely based on NEET 2017 exam. Candidates who are interested in taking admissions to MBBS and BDS courses in Karnataka institutions are required to submit KCET 2017 application form. Similarly, admission to B.Arch will be based on NATA 2017.
For admission to other courses such as Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Unani, Naturopathy and Yoga (ISM & H), B.Tech./ B.E., B.Sc. (Agriculture, Forestry, Sericulture, Agriculture Biotech, Horticulture, Agriculture Marketing and Co-operation), B.H.Sc. (Home Science), B.Tech (Food Technology, Dairy Technology, Food Science & Technology, Agriculture Engineering), B.F.Sc. (Fisheries Science), B.Pharm, 2nd-year B.Pharm and Pharm-D, candidates will have to appear in KCET 2017 exam.
There is a standard academic qualification bar set by the conducting body of KCET. It is necessary for the interested candidates to qualify the same. Candidates qualifying the criteria can then fill the KCET Registration Form. While, filling the form one should make sure to fill the information carefully. As, ones the KCET application form is filled then it cannot be edited.
For admissions to Agriculture and Forestry programme, Lateral B.Pharm and Pharm D programmes, marks obtained in KCET are considered. The marks obtained in Class XII (2nd PUC) and CET will be taken in the ratio 50:50 for admissions to MBBS, BDS and B.Arch programme.
KCET 2017 will be conducted as per the following schedule:

Each KCET 2017 paper will be of 60 marks. For Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates, KEA will conduct the Kannada Language Test on 4 May, 2017, which will be of 50 marks.
