AP LAWCET 2018 Notification Released, Exam on April 19

The notification of AP LAWCET 2018 has been released by Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Ananthapur on behalf of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE). Candidates seeking admissions into 3 year, 5 year Integrated LL.B and LL.M programs offered in AP Universities and their affiliated colleges can apply online for the exam.

  • AP LAWCET 2018 Application Form has been released from March 9, 2018 at official website i.e. till April 5, 2018. Check How to Apply? 
  • Candidates have to pay the application fee of INR 750 for all candidates.
  • To appear for the state level law entrance examination, a minimum of 45% aggregate marks in 10+2 or Graduate level is a must.  Check AP LAWCET Eligibility

AP LAWCET Exam Pattern 2018

The exam pattern for the law exam is different for all the programs. Highlights for AP LAWCET Exam Pattern are listed below:

  • Mode of Examination – Computer Based Test i.e. Online mode examination. Candidates will be allotted a system after the biometric verification.
  • Type of Questions – Objective Type i.e. Multiple Choice Questions. Each question will have four choices, select one option which you think is correct.
  • Duration of Exam – The state level examination will be of 90 minutes. PwD or SAP candidates will be provided with a compensatory time of 20 minutes for each section.
  • Medium of Exam – The medium of instructions in the exam will be English and Telugu.
  • Sections in Exam – there are three sections in the exam namely General Knowledge & Mental Ability, Current Events and Aptitude for Legal Studies.
  • Marking Scheme – Each question in the online examination will carry 1 mark. Also, there is no provision of negative marking for wrong or non-attempted answers.

Note: Qualifying marks is a minimum of 35% in the exam. Candidates have to score at least 42 marks out of the total score of 120. For SC/ ST category, it is not applicable i.e. they will not need any minimum qualifying marks for AP LAWCET 2018.

How to Apply for AP LAW CET 2018?

Candidates can apply with the help of given steps below:

  1. Visit the official website link i.e.
  2. Click on the “Apply Online” link.
  3. Pay the registration fee from one of the available mode of payment (online or AP centers).
  4. Click on “Make Payment” and proceed to further steps by providing the mandatory details.
  5. After successful payment of the registration fee ‘Payment ID’ will appear on your computer screen.
  6. Click on “Know Your Payment Status” button to check payment status of your paid application fee
  7. Note down payment ID and proceed to “Application Form” filling process (only after payment of fee).
  8. Fill the details such as the candidate’s name, address, qualifying examination, SSC or 10th class hall ticket number, stream or test centre, caste certificate, minority/non-minority, aadhaar card number, etc in the application form.
  9. Upload the signature of size less than 30kb and passport size photograph of 50kb in .jpg format.
  10. Click on “Save and Preview” and submit it.
  11. Take a printout of the application form after submission of application form.
