Ques. Did you take Coaching Classes? If yes, how did they help in your story?

Ans.  Yes, I did take a coaching even though I was already given coaching in the intermediate college, to ensure that I get good marks and this helped me a lot. You can call it as short-term coaching. It was like the revision of all the subjects to me. I took coaching in my local area itself, the name of the institution was SR Junior College, As the coaching period was after class 12 i.e., in the holidays so I was able to attend all the classes daily and make notes and also wrote the mock tests. These coaching classes made me overcome my fear of getting low marks, especially Maths.

Ques. How would you rate the following Preparation Strategy in terms of their efficiency in your story?

Ques. How did you manage EAMCET Preparation along with your Class 12th exam?

Ans.  I joined in a college where they would offer EAMCET coaching, as most of the colleges do, starting from my first year of intermediate parallely. But it was in second year that they focused more on EAMCET. I used to prepare the topics taught on the same day itself. So I didn't end up getting less marks in my class 12th exam.

Ques. What were your Strong and Weak areas? How did you prepare and what special efforts did you put for improving them?

Ans.  Maths: This was my weak area, I used to fear a lot, everybody fears Mathbut practice makes you overcome that fear. I used to make notes of the formulae of particular topic and remember them, this notes can also be useful for revising before attempting the actual exam. Physics: For me this was not a strong nor weak subject, I was above average in this subject, so I used to prepare the topics only which I was weak at. Especially the formulae and where to apply them. Chemistry: This was my favorite subject, and was very good at it. So I gave less importance to it and focused on my weak subjects.

Ques. What mock papers did you take?

Ans.  I did not take up any test papers, but my lecturers in my intermediate college conducted many mock tests every week. There were also tests for syllabus covered by lecturers that week, so that we could get more knowledge on the topics covered and score well. I also wrote separate mock tests for Maths, Physics and Chemistry.  This mock tests really helped me to know which area I was weak at and to score well in that areas.

Ques. Write some of the Preparation tips for someone who is starting 4 months before the exam?

Ans.  Just believe you can do it and work hard! Know your strengths and weaknesses, plan your preparation, know the syllabus well, know the exam pattern, know when the exam notification is going to be out, know about important chapters, practice hard. If you have enough time for the exam, pick a chapter you are weak in and one that is important from the exam standpoint. Or if you do not have enough time, pick a chapter that you are comfortable, have not practiced enough and that is an important chapter. If exams are just approaching, leave out any new chapters because it will create a lot of stress and anyway you cannot master it enough for the exam.

Ques. Physics: Mention the Strategy and Books Followed for this section.

Ans.  Out of 40 questions, nearly 25 questions will be easy, 10 questions will be moderate and about 5 questions will be difficult. While going through every topic list out the important formulae and conceptual points so that these can be again revised two to three days before the exam. Divide every topic into sub-topics so that you can know what was completed and what was not completed. I used to go through previous EAMCET question papers to know the- pattern and standard of questions. Be confident on your preparation. I followed the Telugu Academy text books and the material issued by my coaching classes.

Ques. Chemistry: Mention the Strategy and Books Followed for this section.

Ans.  Chemistry is the part in any competitive exam where you spend the least time and can score maximum marks if you prepare systematically. EAMCET Chemistry has lots of concept based questions and it is a must to by heart them. The good thing about memory based questions is that you need not spend a lot of time in solving them. Out of 40 questions, nearly 60-70% will be easy (direct theory questions from IPE text book). And nearly 30-25 % will be moderate (equations based & numerical related) and 10-5 % will be difficult (inter conceptual). While going through every topic list out the important formulae and conceptual points so that it would be easy to revise repeatedly. Go through previous EAMCET question papers to know the pattern and standard of questions. I went through the Telugu Academy IPE & EAMCET BOOKS and the material issued by my coaching classes.

Ques. Mathematics: Mention the Strategy and Books Followed for this section.

Ans.  Many models of questions may be given like match the following, choose the correct statement and assertion-reason type questions. Mathcan only be easy and scoring topic if you have good basics and if you practice daily. Keep revising the formulae every day, which brings you the perfection. Focus on numerical questions and practice as many types of questions as you can. Divide the syllabus into units and start preparation. Splitting things unit wise makes preparation easy & comfortable. I went through the Telugu Academy IPE & EAMCET BOOKS and the material issued by my coaching classes.

Ques. What are the things you would like to go back in time and change to get into a better college?

Ans.  If I get a chance to go back in time, I would have practiced even more and scored good marks to get into even better university like OU or JNTUH but am lucky enough that I got into JNTUHCEJ, a university college. And it is the top college in my district.
