KEAM 2019 Application Form

KEAM Application Form 2019 will be available from February 2019. Students interested to appear for the state engineering exam must apply for the same via online mode i.e. www.cee.kerala.gov.in. The test will be held in the 4th week of April 2019. KEAM 2019 Application process is primarily divided into 4 main steps which are mentioned below.

  • Registration
  • Filling Application Form
  • Fee Payment
  • Sending Application Form and requisite Documents to CEE office

KEAM 2019 Registration will be conducted through the online mode only. Participants are advised to go through the official notification uploaded on the websites of CEE to know the eligibility criteria and other updates. To fulfil minimum eligibility norms for KEAM 2019 exam, aspirants must qualify 10+2 exam with at least 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

Candidates must pay the application fee of INR 800 for General category and INR 400 for Scheduled Castes. Aspirants from the ST category are exempted from fee payment. KEAM 2019 is a state level offline test conducted by CEE, Kerala every year. Through this exam, over 56,000 students are admitted in the participating government and private engineering colleges across the state.

KEAM 2019 Important Dates

KEAM Eligibility Criteria 2019

KEAM 2019 eligibility norms are as set up by the organizing board. All applicants must make sure that they meet the eligibility criteria mentioned below.

Nationality

  • Applicants should be citizens of India to be eligible for KEAM 2019.
  • Those who fall under the category of PIO and OCI can also apply for the test.

Nativity

To be eligible for the exam, students should fall under any of these 3 categories according to their nativity. These are:

  • Domicile: Aspirants domiciled in Kerala are grouped as Keralites. Children of parents who serve as Indian Service Officers and are posted in Kerala will also be part of this group provided they present a certificate of proof of such service.
  • Non– Keralite 1: Candidates residing in Kerala for a minimum of 5 years in the study period of 12 years will fall under this category. Children of non- Keralite parents who have studied class 12 will also fall under this category, if either of the parents is serving in the government or defence sector.
  • Non– Keralite 2: Individuals who do not fall in the above two categories will fall under this category. They will be eligible to get admission in the engineering courses through management quota seats in private colleges under the government.

Age Limit

  • The lower age limit is 17 years of age as on December 31, 2019 whereas an upper age limit has not been prescribed for the test.

Educational Qualification

  • Applicants who wish to get into Engineering courses must have passed Class 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognized board.
  • They should have secured at least 50% marks taken together in PCM subjects. A score of 50% marks in Mathematics is also necessary to be eligible for the exam.
  • Participants appearing for the qualifying exam can also apply provided they fulfill all the eligibility norms.

How to fill KEAM 2019 Application Form?

KEAM 2019 Application Form will be available on the official website of the CEE. Participants can fill and submit their application forms through the online mode. Only those aspirants who apply for the test by paying the requisite application fees and submit the form to the CEE office within the stipulated time can appear for the test.

KEAM 2019 application process comprises 4 main steps- Online Registration, Filling of Application Form & Uploading documents, Payment of Fees and Sending the Application Form & other documents to CEE Office.

Pre-requisites for filling KEAM 2019 Application Form-

  • Valid mobile number and email ID
  • Scanned images of photograph, signature and left hand thumb impression of candidate
  • Caste certificate for reference
  • Details of online payment mode

Candidates can fill the KEAM 2019 form by following the guidelines mentioned below.

Step 1: Registration

  • Visit the official website of KEAM 2019 i.e. cee.kerala.gov.in
  • Select the link of ‘KEAM 2019 Online Application’ and click on ‘Candidate Registration’ to start the registration process.
  • Read the declaration and accept the terms & conditions.
  • Students must provide basic details about themselves like their name, email ID, mobile number and they will also have to choose a password for their user account. Carefully check these details and click on ‘Register’.
  • The applicant registration confirmation page will be displayed in a new window which will have the Application Number. Aspirants must note down this number for completing further steps.

Step 2: Filling of KEAM 2019 Application Form and Uploading Documents

  • Candidates should login to their accounts using the system generated Application Number and Password.
  • They will first have to upload scanned images of their recent passport- size photograph, signature and left hand thumb impression as per the guidelines given in the table below.
  • Aspirants should then enter their personal, communication, educational and course details.
  • After filling all the requisite fields, candidates can see the preview of their application form.
  • Go through all the details and click on ‘Final Submission’.

Step 3: Fee Payment

  • Next, applicants will have to pay KEAM 2019 application fee.
  • Fees can be remitted through the offline mode (e- challan) and also via online mode (Debit/ Credit card, Net banking).
  • Candidates can even check the status of their payment by logging into their user profiles and checking if the ‘Payment’ tab has turned green which signifies successful payment.
  • Take a print out the copy of e-receipt of transaction or preserve the student copy of the bank challan.

Step 4: Submitting Application form and requisite documents to CEE

  • Aspirants should take a print out of the duly filled application form, get it attested by Head of institute or a Gazetted officer and submit it to the CEE office by speed/ registered post or hand delivery.
  • They will also have to send necessary documents in original.
  • The form should reach the following address within the last date of application

Documents to be submitted with KEAM 2019 Application Form

Candidates will have to submit certain documents along with the attested KEAM Application Form and the same have been mentioned below.

  • Self-attested copy of proof of Date of Birth
  • Nativity Certificate
  • Course Certificate or Self Attested Copy of Mark List
  • Reservation Certificate (if applicable)
  • Proof of Special Reservation (if applicable)
  • Original Income Certificate (if applicable)

KEAM 2019 Application Status

Candidates can track their KEAM Application Form status by logging into their user profiles. They will see a red-colored ‘Received by CEE’ bar in the top corner. Once, CEE receives the dispatched application form and relevant documents, the color of this bar will change from red to green which implies that the application form has been submitted successfully.

How to Retrieve KEAM 2019 Password/ Application Number?

Students will be assigned an Application Number by CEE and they will have to choose a Password during Registration. In case, an applicant forgets his password, then he can follow the steps stated below to retrieve it:

  • Log on to the registered individual’s login page and enter your Application Number. Click on ‘Forgot Password’.
  • Participants will then have to enter their registered email ID, DOB and captcha code given on the page.
  • A new password will be sent to the individual via email.

If an individual forgets his Application Number, then he can follow these steps to retrieve it:

  • Visit the registered individual’s login page and click on the link of ‘Forgot Application Number’.
  • Students will then have to enter their name, DOB and password.
  • The application number will appear on the screen which should be noted down and preserved.
