CEED 2020 NEWS
NATIONAL LEVEL ONLINE/OFFLINE TEST
IIT Bombay will conduct CEED (Common Entrance Exam in Design) on January 22, 2017 for granting admission to Master of Design (MDes) programme. The examination will be held in 2 parts. The Part A, of CEED 2017, will be a Computer Based examination, whereas, Part B will be held in Pen and Paper mode. It tests your Drawing skills, logical reasoning, creativity, communication skills as well as the visual perception. CEED 2017 Result will be declared on March 10, 2017. The CEED score is valid for a period of one year from the date of declaration of the results.
Candidates who will score a minimum cutoff in Part A will be evaluated for Part B and the scores of Part B will be considered for the Merit list.
As per past trends, it is noticed that the CEED cutoff is calculated to about the top tenth percentile arranged in ascending order. This essentially means that no one has any real idea about the minimum score that is needed to clear Part A.
This section is basically a screening test. You need to aim to score high to be at least eligible for the next section. NAT (Numerical Ability Test) questions might be pretty complex and or will be time consuming.
The marks scored in this section only will be used to calculate the merit list. This section will have questions on Design and hand drawing. From the consensus, it felt that it might also be time consuming and a bit lengthy.
So, you need to see in your mind’s eye what you want to put on paper. Try to visualize at least one unique idea and sketch it.
CEED 2017 Result will be declared on March 10, 2017 on the official website. Information provided in the application form by the CEED qualified candidates will be shared with the participating institutes and may also be used for statistical analysis.
