Anna University, Chennai offers the full time and part time 2 years M.S (Hydrology and Water Resources Engineering). The programme is run under the university department and its affiliated colleges in the Tamil Nadu State.

Eligibility Criteria for M.S Hydrology and Water Resources Engineering:

  • Candidate must have completed his/her B.E./ B.Tech in Civil Engineering (Hydrology and Water Resources Engineering) from recognized University.
  • He/ She has secured minimum 55% marks for general candidate and 50% marks for SC/ST category in Bachelor degree

Eligibility for Part time M.S Programme:

The following categories of candidates are eligible to apply for part-time programme.

  • Regular employees of University Departments/ University Campuses/University Colleges of Engineering/ Govt. / Govt. Aided/Architecture Schools /Self-financing Engineering Colleges in Tamil Nadu.
  • Candidates working in R&D centres which are recognized as a research centre by the University to do collaborative research work and sponsored by the respective employer.

Application Procedure:

  • Completed application form in the prescribed format along with a DD should be sent to The Director, Centre for Research, Anna University, Chennai — 600025 on or before August 25, 2015
  • A demand draft should be drawn in favour of "The Director (Research), Anna University" payable at Chennai

List of documents to be sent along with Application:

The set of photocopies of the following certificates should be attached with the application form

  • 10th and 12th mark sheet and certificates
  • UG and PG Mark sheets and Degree Certificate
  • Community Certificate (If applicable)
  • Service Certificate (if part-time)
  • Relieving order from the employer (if employed), For Full-time candidates
  • Transfer Certificate of last studied (Original TC will be retained with this University).
  • Disability Certificate (If applicable) obtained from The Director, Institute of Physical Disability and Rehabilitation, K.K. Nagar, Chennai.

Selection Procedure:

Candidate will be selected for admission into (full time and part time) M.S Hydrology and Water Resources Engineering on the basis of the performance in the written test cum interview.
