1. Sri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi

Formerly known as commercial college, SRCC is ranked as India’s Best commerce college. There is a very tough competition amongst the candidates to get admission in the college as the cut off is always very high.

SRCC, Delhi admission process of the college usually begins in the month of June. The admission to the institute is based on the cut off released by the institute. When the cut off is announced, the college issue the list of students who are eligible to get admissions.

After that the candidates are required to go the college and follow the admission process like filling in the application form, documents inspection, deposition of fees, and submission of affidavit.

Admission Procedure for Christ University is shown in the points below:

  • Direct Mode: Applicants can obtain the application forms after remitting the prescribed application processing fee at Counter No.7, Office of Admissions, Ground Floor, Central Block, Christ University Main Campus, Bengaluru from December 08, 2016. After obtaining the direct mode application the candidate has to fill the application online by using the link: The application will not be valid if not filled and submitted online.
  • Online Mode: The online applications will be available from 04:00 PM, December 08, 2016 onwards. Applicants can fill and submit the application forms online on the University website. The online application can be processed through the payment gateway with a valid Credit / Debit Card / Net banking facility. NRI/OCI/PIO/Foreign Nationals may pay through Demand Draft, made in favour of Christ University, payable at Bengaluru. (Details are given under the preferred programme page in the University website).
  • Applicants must print and sign the application form before submitting to the Office of Admission for further consideration. They are advised to take a copy of the application form for further reference and to produce at the time of selection process. Applicants should send / submit the application and the required supporting documents in an A4 size Envelope ONLY and must mention programme applied for with Mobile Number.

4. Loyolla College, Chennai

Established in 1925, Loyolla College, Chennai is amongst top 5 commerce colleges in India. It is the only college in India which has been granted ‘College of Excellence’ title from UGC.

  • Only those students who have passed the Intermediate / Class XII in April / May 2017 in the first attempt with a minimum of 60% / 55% marks (as applicable for different courses) are eligible to apply.

Fifth on the list is one of the Delhi’s most popular commerce college i.e. Hansraj College, it can also be considered as an institute par excellence.

To get admission in this college if a student can mark around 97% marks than the chances are high to land in Hansraj. In 2016 the seats for admission in B. Com (hons.) got filled in 4th round of counselling and was closed at 96.25%. The institute offers studies in science, liberal arts and commerce.

Another one in the list is Delhi’s another popular college i.e. Hindu College. It is ranked among top colleges in India. To get admission in this college one has to get 97+ percentage in CBSE. In 2016, the cut off for the college was 96.50% which were filled in fifth round of counselling.

7. Shree Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics, Mumbai

8. St. Joseph college of commerce, Bangalore

St. Joseph college of commerce is one of the highly reputed commerce college in India. That is why the cut off for B. Com is always on the higher side. There would always be a rush to get admission in Joseph's. The cut off too is high for B. Com. It is around 90% for General Merit, 75% for SC/ST and for Christian Catholic it is easy to get admission with 60% as Joseph's is a Christian minority College. The college has also been entitled as “college with potential excellence” by UGC

SJCC Admission Procedure:

  • Admission to SJCC, Bangalore is made by the aptitude test conducted by the institute.
  • Candidates are required to apply online only through the official website of the college. The application fee can be paid online, through Demand Draft or at the college office.
  • The list of qualified candidates will be displayed on the official website. The selected candidates are further required to appear for the interview round.

9. Madras Christian College, Chennai

Another one in the list is Madras Christian College (MCC), Chennai. It is situated in Madras and is a government aided institute. Candidates seeking admission in the college should be:

  • A pass in the Tamil Nadu Higher Secondary or equivalent examination.  Candidates must be below 21 years of age. The age limit may be relaxed by up to 3 years for SC/ST, BC, MBC and Women candidates. 
  • Commerce (B. Com) candidates should have preferably taken a combination of Commerce, Accountancy and Business Mathematics / Mathematics in the Higher Secondary or other qualifying examinations
