The Tamil Nadu Directorate of Government Examinations (TNDGE) will begin evaluating Tamil Nadu Class 10, 11 and 12 answer sheets from 27 May onwards. The evaluation work is likely to be completed by the end of June. The pending examinations will be conducted on 16 June; at the end of the same month, the TN HSC results for 2020 will be declared.

An official of the Board was quoted as saying, “With the new schedule for the evaluation fixed from 27 May, answer scripts correction work will go till June first week.” The official added that the process of shuffling answer sheets and transportation work has already begun. When that is completed, the answer sheets would be shared with the respective evaluation camps, where the checking would be done under tight security. As a matter of fact, this year, the evaluation will take place under CCTV surveillance, remotely monitored from Chennai. Once all the answer sheets are corrected, they will be uploaded in the central server system the same day to deliver results fast.

Around 25,000 evaluators will be assigned with the task of evaluating more than 5 million answer sheets. Over 800,000 students have taken the HSC examination this year, conducted by the DGE in Tamil Nadu.
