MBA Colleges in Delhi have opened admissions for students in this pandemic through Skype calls and other interview processes. Despite completing the 2020 MBA admissions, some of the good colleges have extended the admission dates for the applicants. Colleges are admitting students at low cut-offs, with no sectional cut off, and a moderate fee structure.

MBA Admissions Delhi/NCR

MBA admissions in Delhi are usually based on entrance exam scores, Group Discussion, and Personal Interview. The exam scores accepted at top B-colleges in Delhi include CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, GMAT, UPSEE MBA, ATMA, NMAT, UPSEE, IPU CET, GRE, SUAT, etc. Most of the MBA colleges in Delhi NCR shortlist the candidates on the basis of one or other MBA entrance tests, some consider academics and work experience. However, the Personal Interview round is conducted by each MBA college for admission as it exposes the candidate’s aptitude, personality, leadership quality, and other key skills.

MBA admissions in Delhi include eligibility criteria, entrance exam scores, the application process, fees, merits, GD, and PI. 

  • Eligibility Criteria for MBA admission Delhi: A candidate must score 50-60% aggregate marks to be eligible for admission. There is no age limit to apply for admission. Graduation final year students are also eligible to apply.
  • Entrance Exam scores: Once you have checked all the eligibility criteria, you may now register and appear for the national level examination. There are many national-level examinations for MBA admissions, the following chart shows the number of colleges accepting various national-level examinations:

  • Cut off lists: Once the examinations are held, the conducting bodies release cut off lists.
  • GD and PI round: Students scoring good marks in these examinations are shortlisted for GD and PI round by the college and called for the Group Discussion and Personal Interview round. 

The final selection of students for MBA admissions is done based on these parameters. The selected candidates are then required to submit the fee and necessary documents to complete the admission process.

MBA Admission Delhi University

Delhi University (DU) offers an MBA through the Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) and the Department of Financial Studies (DFS). Admission to the MBA program is given on the basis of the Common Aptitude Test (CAT). The college offers a full-time MBA program in various categories like the doctoral program, executive, and healthcare program, the application fee for FMS is INR 1000 (general category) and INR 350 (SC/ ST/ PWD).

  • Eligibility: Candidates must have completed their Bachelor’s degree with 50% aggregate in their graduation (SC/ ST-Passing marks, OBC/ PWD/ CW- 45%) or equivalent CGPA.

MBA Admission 2020 IGNOU

IGNOU issues application form for the MBA program twice a year, i.e. March and September. To be eligible for the application process, a candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree in any discipline/ board recognized by the university. 

Once the admit card for the entrance exam is issued, the candidate than is required to appear for the OPENMAT exam conducted by the university itself.

The final students for admission are selected on the basis of marks obtained in the OPENMAT exam. 

A candidate can also apply for the IGNOU PGDM program equivalent to an MBA degree. The admission of the course is purely merit-based. Applicant may visit the nearest regional center and buy the application form/ prospectus. Fill in the application form along with the required fee and documents required for the admission process. Foreign candidates residing in India with a valid student visa for the minimum duration of the program can also apply for admission at IGNOU.

MBA Admission in IIT Delhi

IIT Delhi MBA admissions are entrance-based. Candidates are required to submit a valid score of national-level exam CAT. The minimum eligibility for admission involves 50-55% marks in Graduation in any discipline. Candidates with a valid score in CAT are eligible for MBA (general and MBA (telecom) admissions. While foreign students can submit a GMAT score too for admission to IIT Delhi. The final selection of students is made on the basis of marks obtained in Graduation and exam. The shortlisted candidates are then called for GD and PI round for further evaluation. Candidate scoring highest marks in all the rounds are selected for admission.

Distance MBA Admission in Delhi

The MBA program at Distance centers in Delhi gives admission to the applicants shortlisting them on the basis of marks obtained in the previous qualifying examination. The minimum qualification required for admission is 50% aggregate marks in Graduation in any discipline. The admissions are granted on a first-come-first-serve basis. A candidate applying for admission must fill up the application form, submit the required fee and documents to complete the admission process.
