The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JOSAA) had its first meeting at IIT Bombay on May 2, 2015. An Agreement was signed between the Joint Admission Board (JAB), JEE (Advanced) 2015 representing the IITs and ISM Dhanbad and the Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) 2015 representing the NITs, IIITs and other technical institutes funded fully or partly by Central or a State government for allotment of seats for academic programs offered by 88 institutes for the commencing session 2015-16.
Category of the Candidate-Seat allocation will depend on the category in which the candidate falls.
Rank of the Candidate-Rank list will be prepared on the basis of aggregate marks scored by the candidates in JEE advanced 2015.
Common rank list (CRL): It includes candidates who are assigned the tag GEN, GEN-PwD, OBC-NCL, OBC-NCL-PwD, SC, SC-PwD, ST or STPwD. Foreign nationals are also included in the CRL prepared based on JEE (Advanced) 2015.
Priority of academic programs listed by the candidates–
Seat Quota for different categories- The seat allocation will vary according to Reservation rules as set by the Government.
Buissness Rules for JOSSA- Jossa has finalized some business rules regarding the seat allotment process for the 88 participating institutes.
