JEECUP has opened Round 4 choice filling for UP Polytechnic Counselling 2026 at jeecup.admissions.nic.in. Candidates can lock preferences till July 29, with the seat allotment result out on July 30. Round 4 is open to candidates from outside UP.
The Joint Entrance Examination Council Uttar Pradesh (JEECUP) has opened Round 4 choice filling for JEECUP Counselling 2026. The window is live on the official portal at jeecup.admissions.nic.in. Candidates can lock branch and college preferences till July 29, 2026.
The Round 4 provisional seat allotment result will be declared on July 30, 2026. Candidates must log in with their application number and password. Choices once submitted and locked cannot be edited later.
Round 4 is the first counselling round open to candidates from outside Uttar Pradesh. The earlier three rounds were reserved for UP domicile candidates only. Seat availability in Round 4 depends on vacancies left after Rounds 1 to 3.

Who Can Participate in JEECUP Round 4 Counselling?
Round 4 opens the JEECUP seat matrix to candidates from every state. Candidates from outside Uttar Pradesh can register and fill choices only from this round. UP domicile candidates who missed the earlier rounds can also join Round 4.
All participants must hold a valid JEECUP 2026 rank. The counselling registration fee of Rs 3,000 must be paid online before choice filling. This amount is later adjusted against the admission fee at the allotted institute.
How to Fill Choices for JEECUP 2026 Round 4?
Follow the steps below on the official counselling portal to submit Round 4 preferences.
- Visit admissions.nic.in/JEECUP and click on the candidate login link.
- Enter your JEECUP 2026 application number and password to sign in.
- Complete the Round 4 registration and pay the fee if not paid earlier.
- Open the choice filling tab and select colleges and branches in order of preference.
- Rearrange the list until you are satisfied with the order.
- Click on Lock Choices and download the confirmation page for records.
What Are the Freeze and Float Options After Seat Allotment?
Every candidate with an allotted seat must choose between Freeze and Float. Freeze means the candidate accepts the allotted seat as final. Float means the candidate accepts the seat but stays open for upgradation in the next round.
The chosen option must be confirmed within the reporting window declared with the result. Candidates who miss the fee payment or document verification lose the allotted seat. Such candidates also become ineligible for the remaining counselling rounds.
Round 4 is the first entry point for non-UP candidates into the JEECUP seat pool. Diploma aspirants from other states get their only real shot at UP polytechnic seats from this round.
