The MHT CET 2020 examination for PCM stream has commenced from today, October 12. The overall difficulty level of the exam was easy to meoderate. Check detailed exam analysis and memory based question paper details here.

The first exam for PCM stream candidates was conducted today from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and the second shift is scheduled from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. In the first shift, mathematics was the easiest to attempt out of all the three sections. Whereas Physics and Chemistry was on moderate side. 

The official answer key for MHT CET 2020, along with the question paper will be released on October 20, 2020.

MHT CET 2020: Important Dates

Arrangements have been made for the PCM examination that is scheduled to conduct from October 12, 2020 (today). Students can download the hall ticket from the website of MHT CET (mhtcet2020.mahaonline.gov.in/).

MHT CET 2020 Exam Analysis: Day 1 (October 12)

There are three sections in the MHT CET 2020 PCM exam - Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The exam consists of MCQ based questions which are to be attempted in 180 minutes. 

Shift 1 + Shift 2 Exam Analysis

  • Physics Section

There are a total of 50 questions each carrying 1 mark. Most of the questions were asked from Rotational Motion, Semiconductors, Kinetic Theory and Electrostatics.

  • Chemistry Section

The section was moderate to difficult. Maximum weightage was given to the following topics: p,d and f block elements, Chemical Kinetics, Electro Chemistry and states of matter (Gases and Liquid).

  • Mathematics Section

There are a total 50 questions each carrying 2 marks. Candidates preparing for upcoming MHT CET 2020 should make a note of the commonly asked topics. Maximum questions were asked from Integration (9-10 questions), followed by Vector 3-D (8-9 questions). There were 5-6 questions from Differential Calculus. Some other important topics asked in the exam were : Matrices, Pair of straight line, and Trigonometry.
