NEET Like Exam to be Held for B.Sc Nursing Admission from 2021: Central Department of Health and Family Welfare

As per recent sources, the central department of Health and Family Welfare has decided to bring some new changes in the Nursing Education from the upcoming academic year of 2021.

The department is planning to conduct an entrance test for admission to the B.Sc Nursing course which will be conducted in the same way as the NEET examination.

The entrance examination will be conducted at the All India level for admission undergraduate students. Presently, admission to the B.Sc Nursing course is done on the basis of merit of Class 12th.

Following this, the Central Department of Healthy and Family Welfare has decided to replace the existing National Council for Nursing (INC) with the National Nursing and Midwifery Commission. 

A bill has been drafted by National Nursing Council a new bill Nursing Commission Bill. Dr. Rati Balachandran, Additional Director General (Nursing), Union Ministry of Health has asked the general public and experts to send their suggestions and views to latest by December 6.

The Indian Nursing Council (INC) is a national regulatory body in India responsible for nursing education. It is an autonomous body which is governed by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, and the Government of India Its job is to maintain the quality of Nursing Education in India and monitor and establish uniform standards in the respective field.
