The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will release the revised examination timetable for NDA, IAS, CAPF, IES and other examinations this week. The commission will hold a meeting on 5 June and reassess the situation in the country, after which it will decide if it ought to hold the examinations. The UPSC examination calendar is expected to be released in 2021.

Their official notice says, “The commission will issue a revised schedule of examinations that were deferred in the last two months in its next meeting to be held on June 5. Details of the new UPSC calendar 2020 will be published on the official website after the meeting.”

The preliminary examination for the Indian Administrative Service was scheduled to be given on 31 May 2020. Due to the pandemic, the examination was postponed. It is expected to be held in July or August.

The examination for the IAS mains, which is scheduled to take place on 18 September, will also probably be postponed. The interview round of the examination for 2019 has also been put on hold.

The written examination for NDA was scheduled to be held on 19 April but has been canceled due to the pandemic. The new examination dates may be decided after 5 June.

The mains examination for IES is scheduled to be held on 28 June, but it will be postponed due to the current state of affairs. The UPSC will announce the new IES examination dates after the Mains examination.

The notification for UPSC CAPF, which was supposed to be released on 22 April, has been delayed. Consequently, the UPSC CAPF examination has also been postponed. The new dates will be announced after 5 June.

The examination schedule for UPSC CMS was due to be released on 8 April, but it was delayed because of the coronavirus pandemic. Though the examination is scheduled to be given on 19 July, it is likely that it will be postponed again.

After fixing the dates of examination, the UPSC will issue admit cards to the candidates. These will be available on the official website of UPSC. Candidates can download them by logging in with the requisite details.
