How are IIEST, Shibpur's hostels and placementss?

My brother is a hosteller at IIEST, Shibpur and according to his experience, this question needs to answer in two parts to get you a clear view.

Hostels: 

• Honestly, the hostels are not very good but renovation has been completed just before the beginning of the new session. You can now expect much better and well-equipped living conditions.
• 24*7 Wi-Fi network is provided in each hostel.
• For boys, there are 3 hostels for the 1st year namely Hostel 8,9, and 10. For girls, there is Sister Nivedita Hall of Residence.

Placements: Although the placements here do not match the level of those at IITs but are quite comparable to the top NITs.

• For 2020 batch, the highest package offered to students was 39 LPA by Microsoft.
• A total of 511 students got placed in 111 reputed companies. The maximum number of job roles was offered under Core Engineering sector.
• Top recruiters of the institute include TCS, Microsoft, Wipro, Cognizant, Indian Oil, HSBC Technologies, Vedanta, Daikin, and many more.
• If looked at 2019’s placements, 462 students got placed with 90 companies.
