    REMARKS

The college tries to place every student possible which is a great thing. If you're in good connection with the professors, there are chances they may recommend you and give you a LOR or something.

  • FEE STRUCTURE AND FACILITIES

Every year the fee structure changes and it usually increases. During my time the fee we paid was Rs. 1,25,000/- for the first year of engineering. Thereafter the second year fee increased by a bit. Other expenses were for the PG, Rs.10,000/- per month and Rs.3000/- per month for Petrol expense.

    PLACEMENT WING

The placements and internships are pretty good. Students get a lot of time as the college is autonomous and we don't have any subjects for the 8th semester. The only thing we have to prepare is the major project in the 8th semester.

  • ADMISSION

The admission process starts with the counseling process once the ranks are out after taking the exam. Based on the rank of college calls the candidates from a particular rank to a particular rank. The seats simultaneously start to fill for the streams. If your rank is decent you will get a decent stream too. There is always a high competition for CS, ECE, ISE, and Mechanical.

  • ALUMNI

Senior students until they are in college are really helpful. That's how you learn from them. The alumni network isn't that great except for a few departments.

    FACULTY

The senior faculties are pillars of the college, be it any department. The junior faculty lags research work and basic manners to treat the students too. A lot of teachers are not supportive and do show biases towards the people not belonging to the state. This has been felt quite often by a lot of students.

    CAMPUS LIFE

To sum it up, it was a great journey. I met some amazing people who are still there with me, clinging on to reality. The gender ratio definitely was more on the male end. It was more than a 60:40 ratio. We have notable alumni in sports, Anil Kumble. Students were really great at sports. The facilities were pretty decent too. The labs, later on, were modified to a great extent and newer facilities were brought up. The competition was really good in terms of technology. Few teams who were into designing the cars went to compete abroad.

    COURSE CURRICULUM OVERVIEW

The course designed is quite fair. There are few subjects and few topics which require a lot of changes and are redundant to the current scenario. When it comes to becoming a better professional, there are few courses designed such as personality development programs. This program gives an insight on how to prepare yourself for the placements and how to be presentable. The right skills to crack your interviews.

    COLLEGE EVENTS

The 8th mile is the grandest event or fest we have in our college. Other than that our college hosts e-summit by the entrepreneurship cell. Other events are by the various other teams or technical clubs of the college. There are few art clubs such as Alaap and CARV which quite often host some of the other cultural events.

  • LOAN/ SCHOLARSHIP PROVISIONS

No, I did not opt for any scholarship or education loan. Throughout the engineering for every year, my father paid for it.

Review of Sahyadri College of Engineering and Mangament

Remarks -

Our college is well known for its Infrastructure it has. Literally no other VTU college in this area has such a good infrastructure. The bonus point of joining Sahyadri is that you get exposed to various parts of IITs and NITs of the nation which most of the college don't allow. The college is more relied onto projects we do than mugging up and getting marks. So these were the positive remarks. Speaking about negative remarks. well I can say that we get very less holidays and college events compared to the others colleges nearby.

Our College RYMEC

Remarks -

Too much fine, even for a small mistakes like using mobiles and absent for 1 class they put horrible fine and the washroom and toilet were not that much good. For both faculties and students. Even though we have a large play ground we r not supposed to play. In free time coz of heavy assignment's if giving assignment is a art then our college is a picasso of it. One positive point is I like my college faculty people and lab instructors and less fee for poor people and supporting Head of branch.

A Good Foundation For Rest Of The Life

Remarks -

I heard that every year the placements has increased. Which is good sign of good placement officer and good knowledge given to the students. I hope students take it seriously and get placed in campus itself.

Placement -

The placement job opportunities have become less these days due to lack of production in the industries, they are also hesitating to visit colleges and recruit people.

Join at your own risk

Remarks -

The only positive thing about this college is it's campus, even though it's not very big it's considerably good enough, with a decent library activity centre and a food court. The management is full of greed and they fight each other for administration and the students have to suffer, because of this most of good faculty left the college.

Moderate engineering college in mangalore

Remarks -

One of the big negative thing about this college is its fine system. They fine a lot for all the things like hair style, pants, etc. Another thing is that you cant use mobile inside the classroom. Not even during break time. Principal will come sometimes and if you caught using mobile, its gone. So overall this college is moderate in my opinion. But its my personal opinion. For person to person it can change.

Best private college in karnataka

Remarks -

One negative remark is college campus is really small. It's around 25 acres which is quite less for around 6000 students in campus and one more thing is campus is kind of outside Bangalore city. There are many restaurants near to our college
