Its situate quite a bit away from the main city of kolkata. Gender ratio of boys and girls is 2:1 in my college and even in my department. College provides us a very healthy, pure and beautiful atmosphere. Our college campus is very lucrative. The infrastructure of the college is very good, laboratories and systems present there easily can satisfy a student.
That quite good but need some on field application subject. Passing marks is 40 out of 100 and that includes theory as well as internals (30). So even if you get 25 in internals from college then you need only 15 to pass. That 15 marks can easily be scored by attempting 10 mcqs and simply knowing some concepts of subject including previous year questions.
The placements are few but enough to ensure that the best of the students get placed. Usually only mediocre firms approach the college while the best of the firms have enough respect for the college that applications from om dayal group of institution to their offices are considered important than other colleges.
There are too many types of events celebrate by college as per example 1. first year welcome party 2. College sport 3. Farewell party 4. Sarswati puja celebration 5. ever year college invite some band 6. architecture department participate in annual NASA design competition.
Feasible You have to pay for total 10 semester for architecture fee per semester fee is divided into two part suppose you have to pay approx 45k per semester then you have to pay 20000 first month after third month you have to pay other 20000.
There is no such scholarship provided but during andmission TFW Scheme is there in association with WBJEE, where the entire tuition fee for four students of architecture each year is waived. Loan facility might be there.
Hostel and food in the canteen were average. There was no infrastructure problem during my college tenure. The hostels were well-equipped. Students got free Wi-fi facility. One thing which needs improvement is the mess food. It is not exactly healthy, although nobody fell ill.
Alumni network of the college is average to good. Alumni network consists of many students who are pursuing higher studies from premier institutes in India and abroad. Seniors of college are helpful, they provide the guideline to study well and gives advice in recruitment drives.
I appeared for JEE main Paper 1 and Paper 2 scored well in JEE paper 2. And then through WBJEE counseling successful registrations, I have make the payment of Rs 20000 as WBJEE counselling fee and promoted to onother rounds of counselling after 2nd round I got admission.
This is a tricky part. Well I would say that most of the faculty are well informed and qualified and are dedicated to the betterment of the students. It's just that the students would have to be in constant touch with the teachers as the students have to understand that the teachers in the college are professionals who are working and will be busy with their respective work.
Students are eligible for placement from 3rd year (B.Tech) and 4th year (B.Arch). However, B.Arch students often do not opt for campus placements which are generic. They usually seek employment options themselves outside. Yet, the average placements in IIEST is impressive, the highest even reaching 40LPA for a select few. I haven't opted for campus placements. I am going to seek a job in Delhi or Mumbai (hubs for good architectural practice) followed by higher studies after the requisite experience.
Students can sit for placements after registering with the TnP (Training and Placement Cell) with the help of their departmental heads and year representatives. However, for Architecture Department, the placement opportunities are the same as Engineering students. In short, you can opt for placements in IT companies (if they are interested in hiring you), but architectural firms never come to the college for hiring students. Although campus placements are frail for Architecture students, they can easily land jobs in firms of their choice because of the great alumni network, the reputation that IIEST holds and with the help of their faculty members.
Ranked in top 15 in India and best college in West Bengal. Good Faculty, Superb Atmosphere, Good senior junior relationship and a lot of extra curriculum and inspiring projects, green campus. The placement is really very good in every years. Teachers encourage to pursue higher education and internship. Rich cultural environment
Our college administration is quite bad, they don't understand the needs of architecture department but our faculties are very much helpful what i know now all is because of their teaching and constant support but infrastructure is quite bad for a private college
Very good college, remarkable standard of education , research and placement scenario, all facilities available , from pan shop to C C D hospital is very good and well maintained for any king of emergency, one of the best hostek rooms and transport facilites are available here , so overall experience is really good
Senior students are very helpful and are always proactive in sharing notes, books, etc. They are always willing to help and provide mentorship.
I qualified IIT JEE Entrance exam and got Admissions to the B.arch programmes at the IIT Kharagpur through an Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) I opt for this particular college because of some positive aspects like Passionate atmosphere. Be it drama, start-ups, music. You get into a society, you become passionate about it. That's the way it works for life.
The placements at IIT are pretty different from the thousands of engineering colleges in the country. You need to maintain a good CGPA (academic score roughly around 7 on 10), to get short listed by the great MNCs that visit the college every year. Microsoft, Google, Facebook, YES Bank, Nomura, Facebook and hundred more companies recruit students from the IIT Kharagpur campus. There are no mass placements, hence the salary students are offered is roughly around 7-9 lakhs per annum. International offers reach upto 50-75 lakhs per annum depending upon the company and your performance. And yes, needless to mention, 100% placements.
IIT JEE. Actually i interested in nothing particular but all i ever thought was a different and adventurous branch other than computers and electronics, So I wanted to join in Aerospace. but on counselling i ended up with Naval Architecture . But after joining this I would say this is the best.
Not bad. A few got into core jobs like Indian navy which offers 12lakhs package( only with 10 years bond). And others like goa shipyard, hindustan Shipyard etc.
This is the best place in india where you spend your most important five years of life. This college teaches you a lot you will never imagine. Current Google CEO is from this place. You have people to get incipiration.
