Overall it's a good experience. Infrastructure must be improved. Faculty must be more supportive. Fees payment structure should be changed. Some faculties are the best while some are partial. There should some outings done in college.
Course is simple. There are 6 semesters. Practical and theory are included. In final sem there is project where you can choose a language of your own and do your project. And presentation is to be given of the project.
There is placement options for other streams but for bca it's comparatively less. Not much bigger companies come to conduct interviews. We have to roam behind placement cell for getting a good internship.
Ganesh chathurthi is celebrated. Nothing else. There is an it event and annual events where there is zero enjoyment. It's all low budget events so don't expect too much. But still if you have good company college life would be memorable.
It's a bit expensive compared to other colleges offering the same course. Although there is no better infrastructure and amenities provided are also not worth the fees they take. They also promise to provide study materials which are not.
Loan facility is there. But there is not a single scholarship available. Scholarship is not provided. Not even for topper students. Not even a discount in fees. They take fees all at once no partial payments.
Lab is good. Ample no of equipments are available. Computers are adequate for students. Sports activities are also conducted. Cultural fest is conducted. But don't expect much. It's done for name sake. Students can attend sports fest of other college but will have to travel on their own.
Not opted for hostel. But have heard from friends who opted the rooms are good basic amenities are provided like bus service from college to hostel. And rooms are also hygienic. Overall it's good. But the hostel and mess fees is a bit more.
Senior students are good. They are very supporting and helpful. No ragging or such issues. Senior students support and guide in all events and studies also. They conducted presentation and other competitions which help junior students in academics.
There is an interview round where basic questions about computer is been asked and self introduction is asked and that's all later you need to pay the fees. Whole fees at once and your admission is confirmed.
Faculty is fine. Supportive. Friendly environment. While some of the faculty is way opposite they just want to pull you back. Some of them are partial and do a lot of favoritism. It's good that some such faculty have left the college.
The students are made ready for the placements and interview as soon as the last semester is started with a lot of different opportunities and Companies based on their course and Skills. Most of the students are placed till the end of the semester, Some Opt for higher studies, and the remaining are guided for their own startups by the entrepreneurship cell.
There are many company are visit for hiring student at the last semester of a student compete currently Infosys company is come for hiring students and 1 girl is selected by the company based on some powerful knowledge and skills. And they offer her valuable package.
Climate is very impressive, Study environment is very good, all over mountains are there, Ground for sports are very much bigger rather than other colleges, College infrastructure is very awesome, canteen services, mess services, hostel services are available.
First of all SICSR is ranked number 1 for the BCA Programme. I wanted to explore and live a hostel/campus life which is really overwhelming to be honest. From my childhood I was fascinated with the tech-world and determined to enter into an IT world, aspiring to become a tech-enthusiast. I love technology because it’s the triumph of the human intellect. It just felt that SICSR would be the best college for me and taking admission into SICSR is one of the best decisions of my life.
I don't have exact idea about placements. But many companies come at the final year for placements. I've just heard about Deloitte, Cognizant to coming to our college for placements. There were more companies but I cannot say as such.
Our college has good campus include good and large area of parking facility. Also college has well maintain staff and faculty. College provides good facility of library for students and large numbers of books. College also has well maintain Microsoft certified computer lab which has large number of computer.
reading as the syllabus dictates; keeping up with the reading while the related concepts are being discussed in class saves you double the effort later. Go to lectures (and put away your phone, the newspaper, and that crossword puzzle.). Take careful notes that you’ll understand months later. If this is not your strong suit or the conventions for a particular discipline are different from what you are used to, ask your TA or the Learning Center for advice. Participate in your discussion sections; this will help you absorb the material better so you don’t have to study as hard. Organize small study groups with classmates to explore and review course materials throughout the semester. Others will catch things you might miss even when paying attention. This is not cheating. As long as what you write on the essay is your own work, formulating ideas and sharing notes is okay. In fact, it is a big part of the learning process. As an exam approaches, find out what you can about the form it will take. This will help you forecast the questions that will be on the exam, and prepare for them.
if you are talking about Indira institute of management then yes this college has great history of placements.Indira group has many colleges but go for IIMP(Indira institute of management) only.and if you are getting admission in PUMBA(Pune University MBA department) then go for it as it it duke of all college for MBA.
The college demanded that the student should have 50% marks in class 12 th and they have to clear the entrance examination with good marks. I scored 71 percent in class 12th and my entrance exam rank was 133 which were both good and I was able to get admission without any hassles/problems.
Companies like wipro, hcl and tcs would show a lot of interest in hiring the students from the college. They knew the hardships through which the students have gone through to complete the course and they themselves know that these challenges have transformed the students into the required professionals.
