The college is overall an average college with good faculty and infrastructure. The placement wing could be a bit of a disappointment, or else, it is a pretty nice college to get into for B.Sc. in Hospitality and Hotel Administration.
The course curriculum is too set by the Kurukshetra University and consists of all the aspects of hotel management. It starts from the core values to the top notch education and knowledge. They are frequent practical classes in the course. The course is of three years, consisting of six semesters.
There aren't a lot of placement opportunities in campus. Only a few companies hire from the campus and not many companies are called for the placement programmes. The college provides internships in campus with various high profile hotel ventures and the stipend is pretty high.
The B.Sc. in Hotel Administration and Hospitality course is of three years. The total fees for three years is around Rs 3,50,000. The fees has to be paid on a yearly basis. The fees is quite feasible and affordable for the said course.
A Joint entrance exam is conducted by the kKrukshetra University for the applicants of the hotel management course. You are eligible to apply with a 60% marks in your Higher Secondary exam. On passing the exam, you are given the admission offer.
The faculty of the department is well experienced in their respective fields and also teaching. They are very strict but cooperative and friendly too. They help you with their knowledge of the subject and make you do better in the course.
Students become eligible for campus placements in their sixth semester. The placement cell of PGDAV(M) is well reputed and around 60-70 companies visit our college for placements every year but there is not much available for students in Mathematics Hons. The average package offered to students of this course is 3lpa. The percentage of students getting placement after three years is less than 10. Most of the students opt for this course as the basics for higher studies. I too will be giving entrance exams for master after this course.
Placements of our course are not up to the mark. However, many companies visit the college at the time of the placement fair but I don't find them useful for my course. You can choose for an internship to enhance your CV
The placement cell is actually very good and provides a lot of opportunities. There is an annual internship fair also where 100s of companies come and recruit students of all years and all courses as interns and the maximum stipend for these internships even go to 10k per month for just a part-time internship. The job opportunities are there but not very good for the science stream, they are much better for commerce and humanities. There are many Tier A and tier B companies recruiting a good amount of students like VQMS, SMAASH and many NGOs also. The placement percentage is around 60% and most of the students want to do post-graduation for further growth. I have plans to do MBA after my graduation.
From the 5th semester, students became eligible for campus placements. The college is best for placements. Placement fair held in the month of March where top MNCs visit our college to recruit students for jobs. Students of courses like Bcom, BBE, IT apply in large numbers. About 60% of the students get selected for final placements every year and around 80% of the students get internships from our course. Some of the companies i.e Allen, ICICI, Genpact, etc visit our college for placements. The maximum percent of students are placed after the course ended. The highest package of the college offered is 4LPA and the lowest is 2.5 LPA. Top roles are offered to BCom, BA Hons students in the business department. E&Y is one of the top recruiting companies. Generally, companies come for commerce and arts background students in our college. I am currently preparing for MBA i.e CAT exam and want to be in one of the top B schools.
Miranda House has one the best campus in DU. It is the topmost college of Delhi University. The infrastructure according to me in the entire north campus Miranda House has best infrastructure. We have two buildings one is new and one is old, both the buildings are maintained in great manner. Hygiene is the main priority. The labs are maintained perfectly. The library of the college according to me is best. The food of our college is really good in taste and fresh as well.
the college is situated in the east of Delhi region and is affiliated to DU and offers only courses related to nursing and medical fields. the college opts for the entrance test for the admissions in the college. the college admissions is based on the admission list prepared by the college on the basis of marks scored in the entrance test.
no the college doesn't provide internship to the students but there are several medical associations and chambers who visit the college campus for the placements to the students but only can make it. the remaining rest will have to look on their own.
