ENTRANCE PREVIEW
I gave CAT in the year 2011 for getting into the MBA program in one of the premium colleges. I scored 90 percentile in the exam .
FEE STRUCTURE AND FACILITIES
Return on Investment is the best that one could expect for a management course fee of 58000 for two years was charged for 2012-2014 batch apart from this, accommodation was 12000/- per annumThis left the students free from tension of Loan and payments.
PLACEMENT WING
For 2012-2014 batch, 50 companies came to the campus offering various profiles. 60% companies were for Marketing people. 95 students were placed by the companies while others ventured out of the placements. HOSTEL FACILITIES
The hostel facilities were average. The students had to share the room and seats are few for management students in girls hostel as BHU has a combined hostel facilities. Separate boys hostel for FMS students is available. The rooms and washrooms are kept
ALUMNI
BHU was established by Madan Mohan Malviya in early 1900 and FMS was incorporated in 1968 so BHU has a large no of Aluminus. with 140 faculties, 3 Institutes and 17 departments, lakhs of alumnus cross ways after passing from BHU. FMS has a network of 4000 alumni. There is the platform for bringing all the Alumnus together named BHU Management Alumni Association(BHUMAA) that meets once every year in BHU and there are various meets in different parts of the country to bring together all the Alumni of FMS. Alumni regularly help students with placements, internships and guidance. various workshops are held by them to encourage the students. Immediate seniors share a close bond with the juniors as no of students in the faculty are very less.
FACULTY
Faculty had few of the best teachers in Management Cadre. We had 30 fulltime teachers for a batch of 110. Faculty to student ratio was 1:3 that helped the faculty to individually connect with the students. The faculty members had an experience of average
EXAM STRUCTURE
FMS had semester wise exam system and exams took place twice in an year.Various tests and practicals were part and parcel of the schedule. But overall, students have free time to take up various other activities such as language learning etc.
COURSE CURRICULUM OVERVIEW
Course curriculum was similar to the standard course curriculum followed by other management colleges.There are two courses for Management Program that include MBA and MBA in International Business. For the first year, subjects were same for all students with more focus being given on exports and globalized market for IB Students. In the first semester, all the subjects including finance, marketing, operations and HR were covered. In the second semester, Statistics, Financial Analysis, Personal Management, CSR were covered. For the second year, we had to select our major subject. with which we would do our specialization.
INTERNSHIPS OPPORTUNITIES
Every student had to do Internship in the field they planned to do their Majors in Second Year every student got the internship about 40% of the students took internship on their own. Internships in companies like GPI, Bangur Cement, SBI, Bank of Baroda were given. 30% students got stipend upto 10K per month for the internship.
COLLEGE EVENTS
BHU has 140 departments and 17 faculties. the fests are celebrated round the year that range from technical, cultural to academic fests. As part of BHU, students from FMS participated in all the events and bagged various prizes kalpvriksh- Mangement fest is organized by students of FMS at national level, Spandan is a cultural event that takes place for students of BHU.
LOAN/ SCHOLARSHIP PROVISIONS
Scholarship from State government for Backward class students was available tuition fees was less so no loan facility is generally taken by the students .
