Pros : Well equipped labs, well organised fest and extra curricular activities, clean toilets ,cold water facility. Cons: Faculty teaching style, lack of research facilities, outdated pattern of examination, no choice for electives, improper placement assistance and poor on campus placements.
Although the curriculum design by the affiliated university CSVTU is similar to other Tier 1 and 2 colleges of India but when it comes to taking our elective subjects from 6th semester onwards, students are given no choice, since the elective subjects to be taught are selected by the respective department itself as there are no faculty to teach all the elective subjects. Coming to examinations and stuff, they are held similar to school examinations having duration of 3 hours. Students just have to mug up the answers and write it down to secure good marks. Only boring and lengthy theoritical questions are asked ,no questions that require reasoning and practical application are asked. Also many students get disappointed with their marks that they secure in the final examination.
Talking about internships the college may or may not organise them. In our 6th sem luckily we got internship opportunity that too only for IT,CSE,ETC branches and only 2-3 complanies came. Taking about job assistance ,the collge organises pre placement training under nominal costs. The quality of these trainings is just average , don't expect everything from them. Even the training faculties leave many of the important topics so as to complete their course on time. The average salary package of the on campus placed students is about 3-4lpa. Many students too accept job offers of just 2-2. 5 lpa.
We have SAMVID as our yearly techno-culture fest held in the month of Feb or March for 3 days. The fest is organised in a pretty decent way. There are many games ,compititions that are held along with celebrity and DJ night in which all the students enjoy very much.
Fees structure for BE program is around 35k-36k per semester. The fees structure depends on the branch, its accreditation with NAAC etc. So in conclusion the fees is quite affordable. For 2 year MBA program fees is around 5lac for two years.
The university providers scholarship to branch openers (i. e. who have secured best CGPET rank in their respective branch) and to SC/ST/OBC students having annual income upto the prescribed norms. The scholarship is given in the form of full fess waiver or year stipend of 25-35 k depending on the University policies.
Extracurricular activities in the college are pretty decent. We have dedicated cricket, baseket ball grounds were inter branch or inter college tournaments are organised. Coming to Labs they are well equipped but the problem is that the faculties don't teach well and we just copy the readings from the seniors' notes (as they have done the same too). Also many times regular faculties take theory classes in the lab periods just to complete their syllabus on time.
I am a day scholar. The quality of on campus hostel is very poor , overheated spoiled food is served. The quality of rooms , toilets is even worse that's why many students leave the hostel and opt for PGs. The hostel fees is around 55k per year including mess charges.
Alumini network of the college is very poor but we got lucky to interact with our alumini seniors which was helpful for campus placements and stuff. But taking about overall college the only the backlog students visit the campus not the meritious one.
I gave the Chhattisgarh PET test for getting the admission into my college. There are total 3 counseling sessions for admissions. I desired for CSE branch as my first priority but finally settled for IT Branch at the end of 1st counselling itself, since my rank was above 2000 (GEN) and CSE cutoff closed at rank of 1100 (GEN). Further there was no interview selection, students were selected on the basis of their CGPET rank.
The faculty is qualified to either masters or PhD level but this doesn't mean that they teach well. Only the first year faculties have good teaching style, rest others just bore everyone with their lectures. Also many facilities are even not awared of their subjective knowledge.
IIIT Naya raipur provide flexible course structure for recent technology, That is more useful while we go for corporate field.Admission process-There are quota for those student getting admission 1.State quota 2.All india quota 3. NTPC quotoAdmission through jee-main
There are good placement opportunoties but you need to grab that opportunities company visited like Amex, TCS, deolite, L&T and many more start-up also visited so no worry about job opportunites, some how you need to prepare for that only.
My college is an NIT, institute of National importance, so it would benefit me in my career. I was to enroll in CS/IT stream and according to my JEE Mains rank(17723), this looked the best choice. The placement scenario in the college was also quite good compared to other colleges that I can get in this rank. I took help from Quora and other reviews to make my decision. The admission process was relatively easier because all IITs and NITs take admission through the same process.
There was only one examination JEE-Mains, which included Physics, Chemistry and Maths. There were 90 questions to be solved in 3 hours. Some questions were easy, some were medium and a few were tough. I went to Kota for its preparation.
In Bhilai we don't have any IIT and NIT in this case only this college provide students best education with best placement opportunities that is why I have choosen this college. I have searched in Google about this college and got much information about this college.
From 6th semester students became eligible for campus placement. Many companies visited this college for placement some of them are- Accenture, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, HCL, Birla Sun Life insurance, Wipro, SAP etc. 80% of students gets placed every year. I will do job in Power grid company but they want GATE score for job role so now I am preparing myself for that job.
Good education system and affordable college near to my house. Students who are interested in NCC can also contact to this college. This college conducts all the cultural programs and activities. My personal experience in practical classes is so good. Practical professors provide us good equipments and teach us very nicely.
I don't know about the placement because I have not done masters from this college. But those students who does masters can have placement in research. And the package must be according to their ability. Percentage must be 55% above for placement.
Pros - AIIMS tag Friendly environment Very rich diversity of studentsExcellent academics and libraryVery big campus and well maintained Very good connection of raipur to every part of countryBad aspects - Some may not like raipur as it's a two tier city Some pg departments are not available. Admission process - it's quite easy Step 1 - visit AIIMS Website and collect all the documents required for admission process. Step 2 - report to academic section in the Institute with all the documents. Step 3 - After document verification go to the hospital for fitness test. Step 4 - After getting fitness test certificate report to college and pay the fees. I personally seen reviews on collegedunia.com for selecting college
In MBBS there are no campus placements you can do Pg and work as an JR or SR in AIIMS, there salaries are very good or you can work as a non scholar Jr here or at any other hospital.
Because I want to study outside my State. I got admission here by clearing ICAR UG entrance exam, the ranking of college is 10 in our country that's why I took admission. The infrastructure of the college is excellent.
There is no any placement in college but there are so many scope in this digree after BSc. (Ag) like government jobs and you can also choose for JRF in future.
This is best college in that city and this college is oldest college in Bilaspur Chhattisgarh I had selected this college on my Father's consult. This college is located in the middle of the city and at the best location.
No there is no group discussion and personal interview on the time of admission. When I got admission I just have to fill the form and got it verified and got admission.
Because the faculty here are so knowledgeable and experienced, they'll help you even after the college time to improve your studies, they'll guess the pattern of the paper and help you accordingly. The faculties patiently deals with your doubts and help you even in making notes
There were no GD or PI round taken or there was nothing like entrance test you need to just submit an application along with documents to get enrolled
Because this college is good. Because this is a goverment college and fees of this college is very low. And admission process was- I have to submit my aadhar, bank account details and 10th and 12th result, caste certificate, residential certificate etc etc.
Yes I have given written test exam for railway requirment of board. it's too difficult to qualify this exam. There are 100 questions in this exam and time duration is 1. 30 hours.
The university is a great place to study and build your career and even for higher studies. There are even some drawbacks as technology-wise university is some steps backward when compared to other universities. Although the IT infrastructure is good.
