Course Curriculum Overview

5

It focuses on the design field. There are 3 design fields which includes - Communication design, Industrial Design and Textile and apparel design. It's a hectic course and you leave every day gaining a lot if knowledge.

Placement Experience

2.5

Haven't done an internship yet. Still they are in contact with the companies that are interested to hire the students of National Institute of Design for their internship periods as well as their diploma projects.

College Events

5

Cultural Festivals like the college funds the SAC community to take initiatives for Foundation day or festivals like Lohri, Holi, Ganesh Chaturthi, Durga puja and many more. The college believes in treating all the cultures equally.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Expensive than other colleges in India. As a government college the fee is really expensive. Even the distance of the college from the main city makes the student spend a lot on stuff that the student wants on a regular basis or is looking forward to have for their needs.

Hostel Facilities

2

6 out of 10. There is no facility of PG or rooms on rent. The students have to stay in hostels with an occupancy of 2 students in each room. The food is not as good as it's expected to be in such a big fee clearance.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, they are helpful because of their experiences. They are experienced enough to guide us. Each one of them has achieved a lot in their lives and they generally come up to share their ways of living in industry with us.

Admission

First of all there is an entrance exam to be given, the qualifiers that go to the second round of selection that is a model making and sketching round. Once you clear both the exams you get a mail regarding the dates of joining and other details.

Faculty

4

They are our own seniors and the pass outs of the main branch of National Institute of Design, that is in Ahmedabad. Quite qualified and enthusiastic faculties. Always ready to challenge us with new tasks.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Interior design as a career is a good option as you get to know a lot of things practically. The faculty is really good you can have one-to-one conversations whenever you want. They really give attention if you ask one. Our faculties have completed their mdes in interior. One year consists of 2 sem in which sem 1 has 2 parts one is jury which is taken by an external jury member and one from our faculty itself. They ask many questions but you need to have a proper reason for your every work.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I basically choose this course to explore the world more and explore myself too. The overall faculty is really good, keeps students motivated and helps them wherever the students get stuck. The faculty is highly qualified from well known institutes in India, and the term exams are held twice a year and passing the exam depends totally on your preparations.
