MY IIHMR REVIEW

  • 9/10Ratings

    REMARKS

My experience with the IIHMR was pretty good. During my two years, I was on a learning endeavor, and gained a lot of information about my industry and learned little tricks to probe the market. I will definitely recommend my college, especially for academics and the faculty support I got there.

  • FEE STRUCTURE AND FACILITIES

Our fee structure was pretty feasible. For the two year program our total fee was around 8.8 Lacs, which is pretty good based on the placements and exposure you get here. You stand to gain a lot for a personal venture as well as progress in the healthcare industry itself.

    PLACEMENT WING

Placements are just decent for all MBA aspirants. Being a specialization course, most of the recruitments were for the profile related to the hospital and healthcare industry. Placements offered are pretty decent in general, with an average salary of 5-6 LPA. National Health Mission, Gujarat, Care India, Thumbay Hospital were the top recruiters.

  • ADMISSION

My IIHMR admission was done on the basis of entrance exam and personal interview. I applied with my MAT exam and waited for the results to be declared. After getting shortlisted I was invited for the GD/PI round. Different factors hold different weightage in the selection process. A merit list is prepared on the basis of various factors like entrance exam scores, graduation marks, personal Interview, group discussion, statement of purpose (SOP), etc.

    FACULTY

Faculty was pretty good and very qualified. They were degree holders in their respective fields, while all of them had either industry experience or teaching experience. We connected them nicely, and I am still in touch with some of them and get in touch with them from time to time.

    CAMPUS LIFE

Many extracurricular activities are including workshops on a variety of topics like a sustainable future, enhancing the standard of higher studies, the future of the healthcare industry and many more. The musical concert featuring Ustad Sabir Khan was one of my personal favorites. Founder day, Stroke day, Diwali celebration and a lot of other events are organized throughout the year.

    COURSE CURRICULUM OVERVIEW

Our course curriculum was pretty good and thorough. Students stand to gain a lot from this course. My family is into the healthcare business itself. The course curriculum made me capable enough to manage the business and expand our reach. Exams were held at the end of each semester and the corporate exposure literally helped me relate to all the topics learned in the theory.

Placement -

Campus placement are meant to be more than 95%. The college focus on each student so that they can get placed. But the students should do enough practice and learning to gain that placement. The college does help students at their best of efficiency to get placed. The students are eligible from second year for campus placement, i.e., 4th semester. The average package goes to 4-5 LPA.

A three year bachelor’s degree (10+2+3) or equivalent in any discipline from a recognized University with 70% marks equivalent CGPA. so, i ot admission through merit basis.

Internship -

Internships are a neccesary part of the curriculum and one has to undergo a 6 months training to understand the industry to its core and to gain work experience before even getting into the outer world so that it gives you and edge but the college doesn't provide apt internship offers. only a handful of students get the internships through college internship drive which is not good and helping at all.
