My memory of Victoria University is filled with a number of heart warming moments of joy. Facilities available in our university are remarkable, and applause as the college provides facilities like Wi-Fi, library, high advanced technology classrooms, basketball court, cafeterias. The quality is up to the mark regarding medical concerns as an ambulance is being provided. The quality of the food is good and healthy with a lot of varieties.
Course curriculum was pretty updated as per international standards. One of the differentiating features of the curriculum is the range and depth of the industry-specific electives resulting in the greater marketability of graduates. A mandatory summer internship was also part of the curriculum and in the final semester we worked mainly on the dissertation.
Placements are pretty decent here. Salary Ranges from 50000 to 80000. Companies like Deloitte, IBM, Infosys, Google are the top recruiting companies for our course. Most of the recruitments were for the profile of Internships, Managers, HR, Marketing, and Accounting.
Infrastructure in our college is the best you can ever find anywhere. The hostels, classrooms, and libraries are built with the best in class facilities. The quality of food at the food court and canteen is fine. The medical facilities are okay. If you love sports and games this can be a good place. Quiz competition, Badminton league and a lot of other competitions are organized in order to trigger the overall development of the student.
Admission is on the basis of XAT, MAT, ATMA, and other management level entrance exam. I purchased the application form from the admission department and applied with all of academic details. I was invited for the next rounds which included an oral extempore, written essay test and personal interview. Students were evaluated on the basis of performance in all these rounds. The entire admission process was pretty hectic in the end.
We had a talented pool of faculty, which cater to the need of the digital age industry demands and prepare the students to suit the requirements of current-age market. We learned a lot from them, both personally and professionally. Learning was great during the guest lectures as well.
As we are the first batch our faculties and the governance of GMB alongside I and my batchmates who are Student placement coordinator are working brilliantly under the mentors and faculties and industry expert with the best internships and placements to onboard the campus.
The students are eligible for placements after the 2nd-semester examinations. As Ahmedabad is a big city many startups are there which come with many beautiful placement opportunities. Many big companies like Vivo, Outlook magazines, ICICI Bank, Times of India, HDFC Ltd, Dainik Bhaskar, Hari Chemicals etc come for placement drive. The average package is 7 lacs and the highest goes upto 12 lacs. Around 87% student was selected in campus placements and 9% students opted to be an entrepreneur.
The placements were quite good till 2019 but then are affected due to the pandemic. According to the latest data, 79 percent of students were placed, For the marketing field, the placement was 95 percent. Many startups and local companies also supported placement drives and gave placements to 2-3 students each. Big companies like ICICI Bank , HDFC Bank , ITC , Outlook Magazines , Torrent pharma, etc visited and the average package was 6 lacs, while the highest was 10 lacs.
Yes, our college does have a placement drive in which many companies do visit the campus for the recruitment process. Also, many companies are there on the outskirts of Vadodara which also visits every year. Bank like ICICI, HDFC, Federal Bank comes. The highest number of offers are made by ICICI. TCS, Reliance, Outlook Magazines, Divya Bhaskar, Times of India etc are some of the other companies that visit. The highest package goes till 11 lacs and the average is 5.5 - 6 lacs.
STUDENT CLASS PENALTY IS NEGATIVE BECAUSE STUDENT IS INDIVIDUAL CLASS ATTEND
I got admission to this college by taking the GCET entrance exam conducted by the Gujarat Technological University. I fill out the application form online and my application was shortlisted after a few days and I visited the college and had an interview and submitted all the required documents.
The placement and job opportunities of our college were good. The placement cell invited companies like Wipro, Nestle, Abbott Healthcare Pvt. Ltd., Axis Bank, etc, and many more. Around 30, 40, 50% of the students were placed.
My overall experience at this college was good. The campus life was great, the professors were amazing and there is an anti-ragging committee in our college, so no ragging at all. The infrastructure was good and the facilities provided were also good and well-maintained.
I pursued an MBA course. In order to take admission from this college, I took the CMAT entrance exam first and then fill out the form in the college itself and then after I submitted the documents needed and that's it. It was pretty straightforward.
In the first and second semesters, we study the general management course and from the third and the fourth semester, we chose our specialized areas. We were offered specialized areas in HR, Marketing, Finance, IT, International Business. I chose Finance.
