Our syllabus is prescribed by the institute itself and it was regularly updated. We had the opportunity to gather information, and practice it during the internship period. The 2 months internship was a compulsory part of our curriculum. Our entire course spanned over 2 years and it was bifurcated into six trimesters.
I paid only INR 3.8 lacs for one year and around 7 lacs for the entire course. Which was not expensive at all, especially when you compare it with other management colleges. The placements were equivalent to what they charge. Overall, the expenses were very pocket-friendly.
Scholarships are available for the meritorious students only. Students excelling in academics are eligible for availing the scholarship offered by the university. Apart from that, the students from a minor category are also eligible for scholarship and fee concession, as per norms prescribed by the state government.
Our college promotes sports and pushes students towards taking part in extra-curricular activities. Our college has a pretty awesome infrastructure and sports facilities. BIZZAIMA is the annual management fest which was three days long and included different activities and inter-house competitions.
The admission process is pretty smooth. They do consider the entrance exam scores like CAT/XAT/MAT for evaluating the applicants, but the cut-offs are pretty low for the college like around 70 %ile. The entire administration was very much friendly during the admission process. The only problem which I faced was locating the college since the college is in such a secluded place.
The faculty was pretty talented and flexible. They all had the relevant amount of experience. To top it off with their unique style of teaching. Most of the teaching was case study-oriented, which helped us get a better picture of the theoretical things.
NMIMS Bangalore ensures that all the students get their final placements and internships from the college. The placement committee ensures that there are several companies for each specialization and offering all the different job roles available. The process usually starts from August-September. We have companies like Dell, Britannia, ICICI Bank, Accenture, Infosys, etc.
In terms of placements, NMIMS Bangalore is true to its word. Even when big brands were facing the heat of the global pandemic and its after-effects, our college did a commendable job in getting the students placed.
We have 100% placements and talking about the marketing domain, a lot of opportunities are floated making sure everyone is placed. There are several FMCG and IT giants like Dell, Britannia, MTR, Accenture to name a few who visit our campus and hire extensively.
Summer placement occur from trim 2. Final placement starts form trim 4. Companies from across all domains come to the college for placement. We have Dell, Marsh, MTR, VMWARE etc coming to the campus for placement. Almost 90 percent of the students are placed during the season.
My admission to the PGDM program of ISBR is done on the basis of the NMAT entrance exam. The cut-off for during my batch went as high as 110. Followed by the NMAT exam students have to appear for the counseling process which consisted of aptitude test and interview round. My counseling round was pretty intense and I was very nervous. But thankfully all went well and handled the interview round pretty decently.
Placements in our institute are the best in the industry. Apart from that, there are some other top brands that frequently visit our campus to recruit students for a number of different profiles. Most of the hiring have been in the field of Marketing and HR. The average package was somewhere around 3 LPA, which was okay.
My admission was based on the entrance exam of CAT. I have a score of 74% and was eligible for admission. I fill out the form online and got a call for a personal interview. I went through the interview and then, finally, my admission was granted.
The placement cell works efficiently to place 100% of students and the placement in our school is very good. Companies like Aditya Birla Group, Yes Bank, Deloitte, etc. visited our college. The highest salary package offered is Rs.20 LPA and the average is around Rs.6 LPA.
My college was nice and I enjoyed each and every year with full enthusiasm as well as happiness. Apart from this, I was happy that I was indulged with so many works as well as professional attributes giving me good exposure as well as experience.
