My overall experience at this college was good. I have so much fun with my friends and classmate, especially during the events. Our college was well facilitated with wifi, labs, medical facilities, etc and many more.
I pursued an MBA course and it was a 2-year full-time course duration. I opted for Human Resource Management as my specialized area and we studied stuff like recruitment, screening, etc. The exams were conducted at the end of every semester.
More than 90% of the students were placed in our college. Companies like Airtel, Atlas Cycle, Bhushan steel, Cadbury, etc. visited our college for campus recruitment. Our college also provides internships.
We had annual sports events, food fest, New year celebration, Holi celebration, annual cultural fest, management fest, seminars, workshops, competitions, etc. and many other activities were organized in our college.
There are separate hostels boys and girls. There are twin-sharing rooms with bathroom attached (Rs.65000), a 4-sharing room with a common washroom( Rs.45000) and with attached washroom ( Rs.55000), and a dormitory room ( Rs.35000 ).
The alumni network of our college was good. Our college has alumni across the globe. The seniors in our college were also very friendly with us and supportive of us. There is no ragging in our college.
To get admission from this college, I gave the CAT entrance exam and score 70% and then registered and applied online. After my application was shortlisted, I was called to attend the GD( group discussion) and after that, I went through a personal interview.
From what I have heard the placement season sees offers from the best of companies and the entire batch is placed hands down. Since the college is still in its booming years, the companies visiting the campus have only been increasing and improving over the years.
The placements are very good. Almost all the students are placed and the placement is almost assured given you follow the strict protocols of the Placement committee. The candidate also has to be well prepared to grab better offers.
The summer placements start from the month of November after Term 1 and all the students get placed by January. The final placements is also a rolling process that starts during Term 5. The average package is around 12.5 LPA and about a quarter of a batch bagged a packaged of more than 16 LPA. The college has a record of 100% placements.
100% of Students are placed at IIM Sirmaur. The institute provides assistance for both summer and final placements. The highest package offered was INR 28 Lacs and the average was around 10 Lacs. The list of companies participating in the placement process includes startups as well as MNCs offering several types of job roles.
