Positive remarks are placements, academic infrastructure, academic resources, chill atmosphere. Talking about negative remarks, location of College is a problem, also co-curricular is a problem. But overall it's good.
Course structure is pretty good. Now the college is autonomous and graded A+. Labs are available with all necessary resources. College has chilled atmosphere. As it is autonomous now, structure is well defined and syllabus covers all things required bas ab Engineer.
Considering other college in Pune university, this college has provided with many placement and internship opportunities. Companies such as xoroent, Accenture, TCS, Cognizant, cap Gemini, etc have visited college with package varying from 3.3 to 7.2 lpa.
Talking about events, each year national event Hackathon is conducted at this college. Also there are other cultural days and cultural event named antaragni. Besides cultural events, college conducts seminars on various advanced engineering topics.
A bit expensive if we'd sum up it in one line. As location of college is at outskirts of Pune, living cost is less but considering fee structure, the number of facilities provided to students are less than expectation.
College provides scholarship opportunities to students who have consistent academic record and are all clear. Scholarship name is RGI in which a student receives a scholarship of total 15000 which is applicable on tution fees. This is one of the flagship feature of College.
Gender ratio is pretty poor. If you want to enjoy life as a student, you'll need to take efforts for organising events maybe official or unofficial. Other than that, college provides all the infra for a student to pursue his hobby and practice it.
Hostel is good, considering the fees of hostel and amenities provided, Hostel is the best place to live in wagholi as other places in wagholi always Face the issue of water scarcity and electricity problems.
College has a alumni database as well as association in which aluminis do visit college regularly to enhance teaching and guide current students in what manner they should study and gain skills to sustain in industry.
After completing my 12th, I gave MHCET and got into this college by CAP process under TFWS quota. My score was 87/200 in cet. So I got this College in very first round that too under TFWS quota which helped me to gain a scholarship of 90000 per annum.
Most of the faculty almost 70% hold a doctorates degree. Teaching is good. Most of the teachers are just like friends. Their nature is friendly which makes it interacting with them easier without any hesitation.
To become eligible for placements one must be good at GPA. From 6th sem onwards students can sit for interviews as per their preparations. Current year, one of the final year students got placed into Infosys with a 5.1 CTC. I going to do a job after my degree and have to do GATE preparations side by side to do Masters's.
Students become eligible for placement from the 7th Semester, as far as last year's data is concerned there were about 100+ companies that visited the campus for the placements, a large number of students got placements in companies like TCS, Accenture, Capgemini, etc. The highest package was around 10 Lakhs per annum, the avg. the package was around 4-5 LPA & lowest being 1-2 LPA, All the departments had good enough placements!
The placement is continuously increasing and the quality too. The highest package from our college is 12 LPA and this year students are also getting placed in JIO, Accenture, TCS, Amazon, etc. The placement cell helps the students prepare for further placement and tries their best to place every student with a good package.
From the 7th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. Some of the companies like TCS, L&T, Infosys, Capgemini visit our college and there are multiple offers made by those companies to join in various positions. The highest package was 37 LPA in the year 2020 with a japan based company which took only 1 candidate from the campus and the average package is 3 LPA as per job profile.70% of students get placed at the end of the last year. My plan after getting the degree is to do Mtech.
From semester 6 students become eligible for placements. Companies like Amazon, Jp Morgan, Deutsch Bank, Deloitte, TCS, Infosys, Browser Stack, etc. The highest package offered was 19.63 L for 20-21 and the average package is 6 to 7L. Profiles are Software Engineer, Business Analyst, Developer, etc. More than 95% of students are placed.
Students become eligible for placements from the end of semester 6 and the minimum criteria for the eligibility process is 6.7 CGPA for some companies while for some it exceeds 7. Companies like Deuschte bank, JPMC, Deloitte, Quantiphi visits and take their interview processes according to which students are shortlisted. Almost 98% of students applying are placed within campus placements. Almost all the companies offer a role of either Software engineer or a business analyst and sometimes sales. My plan is to sit for campus placement and get placed in one of the prominent companies visiting in TSEC with a decent package of around 7 to 10LPA.
